Trapped Butterfly

Chapter 6

Alexa and Andrei rides in companionable silence for a while. After a few minutes, Alexa decides to chat with Andrei and asks, "You said you're a businessman. Care to tell about your company? Or companies?"

Andrei smiles and says, "I'm more of an investor than a company owner. I look for sustainable products and services and invest my resources in that company. However, I have a paper manufacturing company that makes use of plant fibers from grasses and shrubs that grow perennially. It is very eco-friendly and what I love most about it is it also gives jobs to many people. I hire about 50 people to harvest and process the plants. It's Natura Papel. I'll bring you there some time."

"Wow, that's great! You're not a heartless capitalist who only cares about profits. You want to preserve mother nature and actually does steps to do so. Moreover, you employ and help many people earn a decent living."

"You can say that. Anyway, we're already at Bango Co. After you..."

Alexa and Andrei get off the car and Andrei says to the chauffeur, "I'll just message you when you can fetch us already."

"Okay, sir."

Alexa and Andrei go inside the company and Alexa is still wondering about Andrei's business there. The company is very fragrant and the products are neatly arranged on the shelves. The bottles of perfumes look very elegant and the soaps are artisanal and colorful. She sees her would-be subordinates and introduces herself, "I am Alexa Salvatorre and I will be your new manager. I hope that we can work together harmoniously and increase the sales of our company." While she is speaking, Andrei has just been standing behind her, causing some girls to really stare. Then he speaks, "I am Andrei Montreal and I am a businessman myself. I would like to invest in your business."

Alexa is shocked with what Andrei said so she asks, "Why? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am certain. Your company shares the same environmental advocacy and I believe that you have an ethical and humane work environment". Alexa nods and smiles widely because although she is surprised, she is also ecstatic with the statement. The company has hope to survive and flourish.
