Pearl Gem
The first time I dare to dream, I paid with everything I hold so dear and now that I dare to think of getting revenge, not even starting, I have already started to pay with tears. There is one thing I must do to stay sane and stay safe. I have to keep His Majesty out of arm length. He is a Royal and I am an Omega. There is nothing more to it. Nothing at all.
I lead Bright back to his cell, dusting his worn shirt and dust from his buzz cut hair. When we arrived at the entrance, a threshold I can’t cross, I swallowed hard when Bright stop to turn around. I quickly plastered a smile on my face, try to be strong and happy for my younger brother not to dare loose hope.
“I brought you flowers, Bright.” I said softly with a warm smile. “It grows so beautifully in our backyard and… you are the first person that came to my mind when I saw it. I just know I have yo come show it to you.”
In response, his big gorgeous bright eyes watch me in silence as I pulled the single Lavender from my bag. A smile at once spread on his face as he take it from me to take a gentle sniff.
He gives me a smile and then look around, to sigh sadly.
“It reminds me of mom.” He says at last and then lowered his gaze to shrug. “How is dad doing?”
I swallowed hard when I heard his question and I shake my head.
“You know how competent doctor Sarou is. He is taking good care of him.”
“And you?” He asked as he look straight at me. It is astonishing how the small young boy had grown up to tower me, to become a man through harsh reality. “How are you doing, Gem?”
For a couple of silent ministers I only gaze dreamily into his eye. Then the tears burns. Tears of regrets and I quickly lowers my gaze to smile once more.
“I am good, as long as you, Bright.”
“I am too.” He replied softly, making me look up to him. “As long as you are.”
My heart immediately tighten when I saw that same expression on his face. He isn’t blaming me for the tragedy that has befell us. Not even once. Instead he is worrying about me.
I quickly went into his arms and he kissed my hair.
“I love you with all my heart, Gem. So much.”
I was about to give a response when the sound of approaching footstep came through and the voice of Garcia break the moment.
“The visiting time is over.”
To this I pulled back to look up at Bright, offering him a sweet smile while he gave me back the flower, almost reluctantly.
“You go back now and be safe, alright?”
“Alright.”
“You will use the emergency call when you need me. Alright?”
“Alright.”
He smiled at me, and I know why. That has been my usual words of goodbyes and each time he respond to them. Before my watchful gaze, I saw my brother was escorted back to, disappearing from my sight.
I stood there for a very long time in silence. At last, at long last, I turn around and head out towards the exit, my heart squeezing in too much pain.
All the guards I passed by now went quiet completely, their head bow in somewhat apology but I won’t dare blame them. They are only doing what they are asked to. Those who is to pay are the Majesties.
I walk out from the Gateway, emerging into the inner circle of the Keep. There, I was compelled to pause in my track just for a brief moment.
Kade King Majesty is there, standing by his car, his hands folded on his chest. A man of honor and utmost grace. I have only seen him last night after five years but now, staring at him under the sunlight, I realize what I have missed in a hurry last night.
Kade King Majesty is dressed in tailored suit, and a fur jacket that represents the king that he is. Around his neck is a golden necklace, on his earlobes are Golden earrings and on his neck is a tattoo no one had ever possessed.
He has full beards. Neatly trimmed and golden eyes that match the fire in his soul, in his heart.
He is everything that signify power and grace. Someone like me would never match it and if ever I want to strip him off that power, I’d need to get more closer into his life, his heart but no, I can’t do that anymore. I have no strength, no time left and obviously I have everything to loose.
Slowly I walk towards him, stopping a few steps away because one of his aid had made to to order me to.
“Thank you, Your Majesty… for your grace.” I said curtly as I bow my head. Then I turn towards the main exit, walking away but his fingers came to circle around my wrist, pullin me back.
“Hey…” His voice was soft when he speaks but I was too blinded with anger that I wouldn’t be smitten by those husky tone.
I answers him, all against my heart desires. With my jaw set, I turn to him, my eyes down, as expected of an omega while I jerked my wrist away from him.
“You have the freedom to display your emotions. Do it.” He says, making me to look up at his face. There, I saw that handsome man I have dare loved. The one I now hate with all my heart.
His words was like a key that let my cage loose and the tags in me flare up.
“What do you want me to say?” I asked him, my vision going blurry. “That you are the most despicable person I have ever met? That I curse and condemn the night I met you? That I’d give anything and everything away to undo that one mistake of saving your life at that accident five years ago? Is that what you wanted me to say… Your Majesty?”
He didn’t speak. Instead he stare at me, his gaze soften but that only infuriated me more. He is making it all confusing for me to know where I stand. One minute he’d make my heart flutter and the next he will make me mad.
“Listen…” He began as he takes a step forward but I pulled away from him, my eyes glaring.
“You stay away from me and my family. You stay away.”
I turn around at last, heading towards the exit once more but His Majesty reaches out to me again but he is short of luck. Royce appears out of nowhere to pull me right into his arms, taking me away from out of reach.
There air suddenly went still. Kade Kong whose eyes was soft one minute suddenly was cornered and now he look every inch like a murderer that i know him to be.
