2 Barbeque in early March Saturday dawned cold and clear. They were predicting snow, and there were some years we did get a little bit of very soft snow—nothing that amounted to anything or even stuck to the grass, roads, or sidewalks—this late in the year. Occasionally it was just enough to interfere with the buds on the trees. The early cherry blossoms had been out since the warm spell a week ago and then it got cold again. The daffodils and crocuses were all starting to shoot up and in some places were blooming. I noticed that my hyacinths were up and starting to open and the new variety of peach daffodils had started to form buds.
