"This girl is so young and decent, this is the type of woman Jaden should bring to the house" Mrs Wester murmured to herself as she fixated her eyes on the young lady She sauntered towards the direction of the young lady but the lady's eyes were stationed on the price tags of the items in front of her. As she strolled through the aisles of the supermarket, pretending to pick up items for shopping, she could not stop herself from staring at the young lady. She was so calm, very decent and neat, beautiful and eloquent. Her blonde hair cascading down to her back. "I need to get the lady's attention, to avoid getting her scared, I will have to create a scene to gain her attention instead of walking up to her" Mrs Walter said to herself. She walked up to the section behind the young lady, pulled out a jar of jam and released her grip on the jar, causing it to fall to the ground and crash. The shattering of the glass bottle reverberated through the walls of the supermarket, every eyes fell on her direction immediately. "Ohhh God! My wrist! it hurts so bad" Mrs Wester wailed loudly. She did get the lady's attention but the lady did nothing but stare in shock, she looked puzzled and dumbfounded. "Ma'am are you ok?" A feminine voice from a distance voiced out, it was a staff. "No! Go away! I don't need your attention, this is not what I wanted. Why can't this lady just help me out instead" Mrs Wester murmured to herself. "Nothing, go away" She whispered into the staff's ear and continued to whimper in pretence. The staff glared at her in disbelief "Ma'am are you sure? I thought you were hurting" "Just get me something to clean this up, thank you" Mrs Wester replied. "Alright ma, I will be right back" The staff sauntered off, leaving her with a broken glass and the undivided attention of all the customers. "Hello, help me out, will you?" She called out to the blonde lady. "Yes sure" Kimberly quicked walked up to Mrs Wester. "Can you help me out? It hurts" Mrs Wester continued to feign her pain. Kimberly set down her luggage and began to gently massage Mrs Wester's arm. "Why did not you help me?" Mrs Wester questioned inquisitively. "I.... I was just surprised, I did not know what to do" Kimberly stuttered, unable to compose herself in front of the wealthy woman. As Kimberly's warm hands continued to massage Mrs Wester's arm, she decided it was time to learn more about this intriguing young lady. "What is your name dear?" Mrs Wester inquired gently, trying to ease the tension that lingered between them. "I am Kimberly" she replied, her eyes finally leaving Mrs Wester's wrist to meet her gaze. "Kimberly, it is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Vivian Wester, you can call me Vivian. Do you have any family in town?" She inquired calmly. "No I do not, my parents are no more and my sister is at the hospital" Kimberly uttered, her voice was barely above a whisper. "Oh I am so sorry to hear that, so what do you do?" Mrs Wester inquired further. "I work as a saleswoman" Kimberly replied softly. "Oh that is great, I want to go straight to the point. Look Kimberly, you are a decent looking woman, you seem very graceful and elegant and I have always wanted to have such a decent daughter in law like you....." She uttered and watched Kimberly's facial expression change. "Daughter in law?" A puzzled look appeared on Kimberly's face. "Yes, I want you to marry my son, I promise I will take care of all your bills, anything you need will be provided by me. And you do not have to worry because my son is a dashing young man so I believe you would find him very interesting, he knows how to treat women so you are in safe hands" Mrs Wester proposed, she was so eager to have Kimberly as her daughter in law irrespective of the fact that she just met her. "Ma, I do not think I can do that, I can not just marry someone I do not know, besides, I will have to love him to marry him, right now I am not ready for marriage" She politely declined. "I understand that you feel skeptical about all this but I know you will love him" Mrs Vivian continued to cajole Kimberly. "I can not do it ma, I am so sorry, thank you so much for offering to help but I can not marry your your son" Guilt was written all over her as she stood on her ground to decline the offer. Although it was tempting, considering Mrs Wester's looks, she knew that Mrs Wester was indeed capable of taking care of all her bills and changing her life but marriage is a big deal. Spending her life with the wrong person, all for wealth and bills was a risky move and she was not ready to go down that part. "Okay then, here is my card" Mrs Wester pulled out her business card and handed it over to Kimberly. "If you change your mind, give me a call. I will gladly accept you into my family" She added before walking out on Kimberly. Kimberly was left in shock, she found it difficult to comprehend what had just happened. From nowhere, a wealthy woman offered to help her in exchange for her hand in marriage. It all seemed like a silly dream, she began to rethink her decision of rejecting the offer, was it wrong? should she have said yes? But how can she possibly marry a stranger? She took one last glance at the card before sauntering out of the supermarket, veering her eyes to the left, she saw Mrs Vivian Wester stepping into a classy white limousine. Kimberly was amazed and convinced that she was truly a wealthy woman but it was still not enough reason to sacrifice her marital life. "But why me? Why did she not speak to the other ladies in the supermarket? I am not as classy as they are and I do not even have a car to begin with, so why was I chosen instead? why was she so certain that I would be perfect for her son?" She thought out loud. "I will have to find out who this woman really is and why she is so desperate to find a daughter in law" She said to herself, slid her card into her bag and hurried home.
