Chapter 7: This is YalePeyton spent most of Saturday morning lying in bed, afraid of what might happen on her date with Luke. Daniel texted her first thing in the morning and told her how much fun he had. He asked her out again for Monday night, and she quickly said yes. Suddenly, she grew more excited to see Daniel than she was to see Luke. Last night was the best date she'd ever been on up until the moment in the lake.
“Hello,” Peyton answered the phone as she leaned up against the cushioned headboard.
“Hi, Peyton, this is Detective Nelson. Do you have a moment to talk?”
“Yeah, is everything okay?” Peyton answered uneasily and a bit nervous as the call came in unexpected.
