Peyton prepared to travel to Vermont that frigid Friday morning with Daniel, and she told Luke that she was out of town with her aunt for the weekend. Charity met Daniel just the one time he came to the house, and she hadn't seen him since. She had yet to meet Luke, and Peyton never told her aunt much about the man, only that he was older and good-looking. She hid many of the details from her aunt.
