15: Unwinding

Freya's POV

After a few more moments of Kai's family asking us questions, we finally managed to make our way to the Alpha floor. Kai held my hand, leading me along.

"We've got this whole entire floor to ourselves," he said, grinning at me. "We've got a little mini-kitchen if we want to have a meal to ourselves, spare bedrooms that we can use for any pups we have, or as guestrooms, a lounge area for either entertaining or just relaxing, a spa room, and of course, the master bedroom."

He opened the door to the master bedroom, and I stepped in, taking in just how spacious it was. A king-sized bed was in the middle of the room, and in front of it, a widescreen TV. There was a small couch off to the side, and two walk-in closets. There was a door behind the bed going to the back that I assumed led to the master bathroom. I let out a low whistle.

"This is impressive," I said.

Kai gave me a smile, shutting the door behind him. "I'm glad you like it," he said, "But if you want to add any of your own touches or anything, we can always remodel. I don't mind. This is our shared space, and the style should reflect that."

I slipped my arms around his neck, rolling on my tiptoes just a little bit to kiss him. Our height difference wasn't that bad, but I still needed to stretch up to reach his lips. "You might regret that," I said teasingly. "I could choose to decorate in frilly pink bows and kitten posters."

Kai chuckled against my lips, rubbing his thumb along my chin. "Joke's on you," he said, biting my bottom lip. "I like kitten posters."

I chuckled, my hands going to run through his hair. "I'll make a note of it. Pink frilly bows, kitten posters, and some unicorn figures for good measure."

Kai grinned, running his hand down to my ass, cupping my left cheek and giving it a squeeze. "No pictures of cuddly ducklings playing with bunnies in the meadow?"

"Okay. We can have a couple of those, too," I said, going to kiss him again.

Kai pulled me close, my body pressing up against his. I deepened our kiss, my tongue seeking access to his mouth. Kai's hands squeezed my ass, and I moaned against his lips. Goddess, if this was going to be my reaction to this man every time, focusing on my Luna duties was going to take all of the discipline in the world.

Our lips parted after a few moments, both of us panting heavily. Kai looked down at me, a wide grin on his face.

"I don't know about you," he said, running his thumb along my cheek. "But I'm all sweaty and gross from that car ride. Would you care to join me for a shower, Your Highness?"

I nodded wordlessly, sighing at his touch. "That sounds perfect."

We released each other from our arms, Kai leading me into the spacious master bathroom. I couldn't help but sigh happily. There was more than enough room for us to be in the same space at once and not be on top of each other. A large counter with two sinks and plenty of room for us to both get ready was the first thing that caught my eye. The next thing I noticed was the large bathtub, with more than enough space for both of us, and a place where I could see myself taking many a relaxing bubble bath. A large shower stall was behind the counter, with plenty of room for us to not only get clean, but have all of the fun we wanted. Off to the side, a separate room where the toilet was.

I looked over at Kai. "This is absolutely heavenly," I said, grinning from ear to ear.

Kai beamed, kissing my cheek. "I enjoy my creature comforts, so any bathroom I design, I'm going to make sure that whoever I share it with is going to love it, too." He shut the door behind him, "Now, get ready for the best shower you will ever experience."

I smirked at him. "Is that so?" I asked, lifting my shirt over my head, folding it, and placing it on the counter.

Kai grinned at me, as he began undressing as well. "If you don't like it, I will get a whole other new shower installed."

I finished undressing. "I'm going to hold you to that," I said, kissing his cheek.

Kai finished removing the last of his clothes, and I couldn't help but once again appreciate his naked body. "You like what you see?" He asked, grinning at me playfully, lightly smacking my ass before going to turn on the shower. "There should be a shower cap for you to use in the drawer," he said, "I'm not sure when your hair washing days are, and I understand if you don't want to get it wet."

I shook my head, smiling up at him. "I'll be fine," I said, "I haven't gotten any treatments in my hair in a long time. I prefer to go natural. It'll take a while for it to dry, but I don't mind getting my hair wet."

Kai grinned at me, scooping me up in his arms. "Good," he said, stepping into the shower and sliding the door behind us. He set me down gently, going to grab a luffa sponge from the wall, and body wash. "Eucalyptus and lavender body wash okay?"

I nodded. "That sounds perfect."

Kai smiled. "Good," he said, squirting some body wash on the sponge and gesturing for me to turn around. He massaged the body wash into my shoulders, slathering my skin firmly but gently.

I closed my eyes, sighing contentedly as I enjoyed him taking the time to scrub my shoulders as the warm water cascaded down the front of my body. "If this is how it's always going to be, I'm never showering alone again," I said with a chuckle.

Kai let out a chuckle of his own. "I won't object to never having to shower alone ever again," he said. "Especially if the company is this good."

I smirked, turning my head over my shoulder at him. "Have you not had enjoyable shower guests before?"

Kai finished scrubbing my shoulders, letting the water wash the soap off before leaning down to pepper kisses along them. "As I told you, no one's been in here with me before. This is just my special place for me to show my Luna how much I love and cherish her."

I turned so I was facing him, placing my hands firmly on his chest. "And do you love me?" I asked, looking up at him. Though we'd only known each other for a short time, I couldn't help but feel the same way for him. The mate bond was a crazy thing like that.

The fact that we'd loved each other in a previous life certainly made things easier in that regard, too.

Kai nodded, cupping my chin under his thumb and tilting it up so I was locking eyes with him. "I do love you, Freya," he said. "Is that alright? I know it's really sudden, and I understand if you're not quite there yet. There's no pressure on you at all."

My heart swelled in my chest as he confirmed his love for me, and assured me that he wouldn't pressure me into anything. Goddess, I loved how understanding he was. I loved him. Though there was part of me that was concerned that I loved him because of the whole past life thing, I knew that I love Kai for who he was, not who he used to be.

"I love you, too," I said, standing on my tiptoes to capture him in a hungry kiss. I needed this man. His touches, his kisses, his support, I needed all of it. I craved it. I couldn't picture myself without him in my life.

Kai pulled me closer to him, our wet bodies pressed against each other. His hands went lower, cupping my ass, and I could feel his d**k harden between us.

I released my arms from him, taking a step back, grinning. "I want to take the lead this time," I said, "Is that okay?"

Kai nodded, kissing my forehead. "By all means, go right on ahead."

Kai nodded, reaching to shut off the shower, keeping my in his arms. He opened the shower door, carrying me still, placing me down to wrap me in a towel, drying me off as best as he could, before drying himself off and carrying us from the bathroom to the bedroom, placing me in the bed, tucking me in.

"Rest, my beautiful Luna," he said, kissing me on the forehead.

I sighed, shutting my eyes and drifting off into a dreamless sleep.
