Chapitre III: Journal

Alannah's Point of View :

"Oh? What's wrong with you?" My mother opened to me.

"I was really unlucky yesterday. I am only 2 days in that school yet I also have 2 scandals already." I was annoyed while remembering what happened yesterday.

"My dear daughter, I understand you, but if you give yourself a chance, lower your pride sometimes." I can't control myself sometimes, that's why.

"I'll try mom." I smiled, then kissed her cheek before getting in the car.

"Are you OK now girl?" Asked Bri.

"What do you think?" I honestly answered her.

"Okay." She laughed and ran to the classroom.



"Good morning." Mary and Daph greeted me with a smile.

I just smiled at the two and went straight to my seat.

"What a noise!" I absent-mindedly screamed at the noise because I was meditating and then the noise was bothering me.

"Who do you think you are?" I was surprised when Rave spoke, they were the ones making the noise.

"None of your business, che!" I just ignored him and just looked out the window.

"I asked who you are, then the answer was different, indeed Lannah." He answered with a sneer, I just ignored it.

"Hey you two, you might be together because of that bickering." Bri joked.

"Duh, that will never happens, I'll die before that happens." I said annoyed.

The three laughed, they tripped me again because they knew my day wasn't going well.

My brain is flying around with the morning subjects. I can't concentrate until it's lunch break, so I'm in the cafeteria with my gorgeous friends.

"Seriously?" They were surprised to ask what I ordered.

"Why? Is there a problem?" I'm so hungry, I don't know why.

"Nothing." Mary laughed and they laughed again.

Sometimes I wonder if I am really their friend, and this is how they treat me. It hurts.

"I love this institute, there are many handsome men, KYAAAH!" Bri said with a scream.

"Yes, especially there in section B! AAHH!" Mary also shouted, there they were again.

"I agree with that!" Daph spoke girly.

"I think you guys go to school just to see some handsome person here." I said, irritated.

This university is a good one, I can say. I don't regret that we were enrolled here.

"Haven't you seen anyone yet? Omo, I feel sorry for you, please change your glasses." Bri.

"There's no one sad to say, the men here don't reach my very high standards." I went along with them.

"Hmm, how about my cousing Raven?" After Mary said that, the three stared at me.

"That grumpy one? Yucks. You guys, my oppas are in Korea, how can you forget that?" I was going along their context yet they destroyed the atmosphere.

"Park Bo Gum is mine." Daph said with authority in her tone.

"Nam Jo Hyuk is mine." Bri flipped her hair at the same time.

"Park Hyungsik is only mine." Mary said with a smirk.

"All your girls, but except Ji Chang Wook, he is mine." After I said that, we laughed together.

Somehow, I felt revived a little and we went to the classroom again.

Raven's Point of View :

How annoying that we didn't have our lunch earlier, the SC meeting was so urgent we weren't allowed to, because the son of the owner of the university is coming next week.

It is still 2 weeks from now, does it have to be really that huge? And prepare for two weeks? I'm so hungry goddamn it. Since I am the president of the middle school student council, I have to go.

"Our youngest one is having a bad day." Alex said jokingly.

"Don't get me started." I said angrily.

"Calm down, just excuse yourself to sir later." He answered quickly.

I ignored him and arranged my seat when our History teacher arrived.

"Good afternoon class." He then smiled.

"I won't be long because I'm going to a seminar now. I'll be back next week, so I'll just give you group work today. The deadline? When I come back next week." I can finally have my lunch.

"Since you're 32, we will have 4 groups, 8 members each, choose now." The classroom immediately roared.

"I don't think we'll find the other 4 more other than Mary's group over there." Spence then pointed in their direction.

"I'm up." Alex.

"The others are afraid to be groupmates with us, we have the unfriendliest one over here lol." Luke.

The three gave thumbs up in Mary's direction, they didn't even ask for my opinion that I didn't want it. There was no choice, so go with the flow.

"I guess you all have your groups now. I am the assigned coach for the journal making, and your section is assigned to do it."

"The Best Journal Book. Topic? Our very own University, that will serve as a souvenir for the visitors, and your remembrance as well."

"So dig deep ok? It's up to you what you put in, as long as it's sane and neat, okay? The one with the best work in this section will be published in the university publication."

"As a reward, the group who wins is exempted from the exam and practicum this grading. Here are the details, class. I'll just give you each group."

"Any questions?"

"None." We answered in unison.

"OK so I'll leave you now, just don't go outside the class and do useless and stupid things, OK? Class dismissed." Finally! My lunch time.

"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." Spence said to us.

"Hey wait! I'm peeing too." Alex immediately stood up and went with Spence.

"Luke and I are going to the cafeteria. I haven't eaten lunch yet." I also stood up.

"Just chase after us." Luke said.

"You're getting pale Rave, go now haha." Alex joked, and they left.

We have the four transferees waiting for us at the door.

"Why is he pale?" Bri asked.

"Haven't had lunch yet." Luke answered, they just laughed.

"Mind if we join you? Besides, we are heading there." Mary asked.

"Let's discuss the journal too." Daph said.

"Can't you just all talk and discuss once we arrive there!" I annoyingly said to them and started to walk.

Spence and Alex also arrived at our table and they just talked. I was the only one eating, because they were all just drinking.

"Take it easy, Rave." Alex yelled at me and I glared at him.

"So where do we start?" said Mary.

"About history?" asked Luke.

"Let's just go to the library, maybe everything will be there." Alex said lazily.

"It's a journal, right? We also need documentation." Daph countered.

"Fine, let's just separate the gathering and compile everything after." Spence.

"We still have 1 week, why are you making it a problem?" Lannah asked impatiently.

"To finish immediately! It's a waste of time if we do nothing. Remember the perks of winning." Bri answered.

"Let's start tomorrow, since it's Saturday and there aren't many students." Luke stated.

"What?! No! Let's start on Sunday! Tomorrow is our rest day." I'm against Luke.

"Are you crazy? The university closes on Sunday, besides, you can just rest on Sunday." Alex answered.

"Then how about Monday?" I said, then scratched the back of my neck.

"Hell no! We need to start tomorrow to finish it immediately." Spence answered.

"Just thank us when we're done." Mary said, which made me frown.

"She means that if we finish this right away, there is a greater chance that we will be able to enhance and make it better, and by God's will we will win and be exempted. You will not have any problems anymore." Bri added to what Mary had said.

"Not tomorrow." Lannah said coldly.

"Yeah." I supported her sentence.

"SHH!" They silenced both of us. We have no choice.

"Since it's OK for everyone, can we go back to the room?" I asked lazily and they just ignored me, ouch.

"Tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. sharp." Alex demanded.

After the last 3 subjects [it's finally dismissal. I left first because I was just going to commute.

I got in a jeepney and got off at the mall. I don't have any new clothes and I'm probably gonna buy some, and I'm going to go for a walk first.

I went to the department store and did some shopping. I also bought food to enjoy myself first before going home.

Philippine flags are scattered everywhere, because independence day is near.

I saw Spencer not far away, who was still in the same uniform as me. Maybe he hadn't come home yet either.

"What are you doing here?" I asked while sitting on the bench he was sitting on and offered fries.

He took one and spoke. "I went with my younger brother to get a massage. Our parents aren't at home either, so we're here." He explained.

"How about you? I thought you were going home? And what did you buy?" He asked this time.

"I don't know why I'm going shopping and going for a walk right now haha, maybe also because my mother will be home late, so it's not a bad use of time, right? Haha." I said with a laugh, then he waved his goodbyes upon the arrival of his brother.

When I noticed that it was getting a bit dark, I decided to go home.

I took a taxi this time, to be quick, and told the driver our address. I reached him P150. "Keep the change." I smiled at the same time.

Before I got off, the driver turned to the rearview mirror and smiled.

I felt something strange when I went out. I was going to ask him for the driver's license but he had already driven the taxi away.

I looked at the number plate but it only showed 00000. How come it escaped the traffic law and I didn't even notice it?

I still can't get that taxi driver out of my mind, it's like he's the same guy always watching me.

I don't know, but I don't feel comfortable anymore. It seems like wherever I go he will know it, probably even know what I do.

Is he a stalker? But he's a man, so maybe Paparazzi? But he didn't have a camera with him.

Hmm, maybe he has a problem with our company? Did I do something bad before? But I'm not that kind of person.

Damn! That guy is killing me! I need to rest. I also need to be there early tomorrow. I was delighted when my messenger notified me on the phone.

Journal Squad. Well, they even made a GC for it.

"7:30 a.m. tomorrow huh?" Luke.

"I'm going to skin alive, who will be late." said Mary.

"Don't be a Filipino tomorrow, okay?" Spence.

Alex and I just read their messages.

"Guys, we need your help." Mary asked.

"What's that?" Luke also asked.

"Lannah's birthday is tomorrow, so that's why we're pushing the date to be tomorrow." Daph answered.

"I didn't add her to this gc, because we're planning a surprise for her and we need your help." Mary explained.
