Cameron Barker rejoined Foley, Rose, and Traynor at the front of the shed. “Task Force is on the way,” he announced to the small group. “Should be here soon.”
“Can the caretaker hang on?” Sam asked.
“I think he will be okay as long as Jack is in here with us,” Barker said. “If they kill him they have nothing.”
Foley turned to Sam. “The point is, can we hang on? Standing around in this shed doing nothing is starting to get to me.”
“It will be dark soon,” Barker said. “We can use that to our advantage. And remember, there are only three of the bastards now, thanks to Jack. Let’s put our heads together and work on a plan of action.”
