Zaina Ghandour, her husband Salim, and their son, Hakim, were enjoying a family dinner in the sumptuous dining room of the home she shared with Salim on the expansive Ghandour estate. More accurately, Zaina and Salim were enjoying the meal, Hakim, not so much.
Hakim was restless, uncomfortable, and perspiring heavily, all tell-tale signs of substance withdrawal. He was an addict. He would never admit to being hooked on drugs and booze, addicts rarely do, and he was just as likely to fly into a rage if it was suggested to him that he may have a problem with illicit drugs and overindulgence in alcohol; a short fuse leading to anger management issues is often another sign indicating there may well be concerns directly related to his fondness for cocaine and strong liquor.
