CHAPTER 2 NEW FACE, OLD WOUNDS

“What the hell is going on---- what happened to my face?” I kept touching my face. At this point, I was just confused. How did this happen? Why did it happen? Do you know what this means for me?

Staring at the person looking at me, with silver eyes, sharper features than before--- I think I grew taller too.

“Don’t panic--- don’t panic, breathe--- breathe,” I kept trying to calm myself, or I might have a panic attack. I quickly took my phone to call Kira, my best friend.

A few minutes later I heard the doorbell ring and immediately knew it was Kira. Opening the door, I hugged her tightly with a breath of relief, but she pushed me away harshly.

Confused, she asked “Who are you, and what the hell are you doing in my best friend’s apartment?”

“Really, Kira?”

“Ohh --- you even know my name, start talking, are you a stalker? How did you get in here? Where’s Rose?”

“Answer me, I’m f*****g talking to you” she said fiercely while pushing me

For a minute, I was confused but it was kind of funny though “ I’m not a stalker--- come in.”

I walked towards the couch and sat down, but Kira kept looking at me like I’m an intruder--- I don’t blame her though

“wait--- are you Rose’s s*x partner? Since when did Rose do women? Didn’t she have a mate? What’s going on--- ROSE ROSE” she started screaming at the top of her lungs, calling out my name like I wasn’t sitting right there.

“stop screaming Kira, it’s me, Rose.”

“Yeah, right--- ROSE you better come down here----”

“ shut the f**k up--- my neighbours are around, stop shouting” I quickly walk close to her, maybe she will be able to recognize me when I come closer

“ It’s me i***t, that’s why I called you--- the ceremony didn’t go well, that motherfucker rejected me, my wolf suddenly came alive--- I woke up looking like this, I’m so confused right now.”

She looked at me with wide eyes, then used her hand to cover her mouth. She suddenly started walking around me like she was inspecting me.

“OMG---- baby girl you look so different, what the hell happened--- you did a full body surgery without telling me? When did this happen? How?”

“Trust me--- I am as confused as you are, I don’t know how it happen but I think it’s my wolf.”

She dragged me towards the couch and we both sat

“ tell me everything that happened without leaving even the tiniest detail.” And I told her everything.

“So you’re telling me you left just like that? No slap, No spiting, No swearing---- girl I would have given him a slap that will awaken his wolf, what nonsense”

“I was so embarrassed--- it felt like that ground should open and swallow me at that moment”

“He obviously didn’t want you--- yet he asked you to come to the ceremony, what kind of bastard does that”

“Honestly, I never liked him, there was just something about his aloofness but I didn’t want to stop you from experiencing being with your mate--- I’m sorry, Rose.”

“Hey it’s not your fault--- I probably wouldn’t have listened to you.”

“well heaven is on your side and has given you a second chance--- your wolf suddenly came alive after your rejection, what a slap--- how about giving him a real slap of revenge.”

“ what slap of revenge---- I don’t have the time or energy for that, besides didn’t you just said it’s a second chance for me--- why waste it on irrelevant things.”

“IRRELEVANT THINGS? How else do you plan on enjoying your second chance without slapping that alpha with a revenge arc--- it always happens in dramas.”

I walk towards the fridge to get us juice, pour hers into a glass, and hand it to her. “You should watch fewer dramas--- it's beginning to affect your brain. I’m more worried about how this might affect me.”

“How will it affect you, if you’re asked just say you took the passport a long time ago, people look slightly different after puberty, there’s nothing strange about it. Besides, you can always retake another passport with your current look.”

“that’s true--- why didn’t I think of that”

A notification suddenly popped up on my phone screen, I checked it and with so much excitement I jumped up, startling Kira. “ I just got accepted into E$R BIO-TECH.”

“ Why does the name sound familiar--- let me check” she brings out her phone to check whatever she wants to check

“WHAT THE f**k, its owned by that bastard--- I knew the name sounded familiar”

“I know that, I did my research--- that’s what I’m actually worried about”

“Girl there’s nothing to worry about, you didn’t go for any physical interview right?”

“No just submitted my documents, but I’m sure they’ll still interview me before assigning me to any position.”

“Then there’s nothing to worry about--- you’ve always looked like this, you took the passports long ago, simple”

“But what about Adien?”

“Girl have you seen yourself--- you look like a femdom, totally different and badass--- even your height is different, I’m sure he won't recognize you.”

“what about my name?”

“Didn’t you say that he didn’t even let you finish saying your name? that means he doesn’t know your surname, just answer Miss Mile and if he asks you, lie simple--- that’s how our revenge arc starts.”

I just realized how smart this girl is even with that creepy face she is making “ you’re so smart.”

“I have always been smart. Now we need to plan everything, the entrance, aura, seduction--- everything”

“wait what are you even talking about--- who’s seducing who?”

“slip of tongue, not seducing but dominating” Kira snickers

“Rose, come on, just see it as bringing karma to his doorstep --- you don’t even have to do much, with the way you look, trust me girl… you’ll have him begging for your attention---- though I’ll need to teach you a few things…. Starting from your style.”

“what’s wrong with my style?”

“is that even a question? Right now, you look like a nerd with those oversized glasses of yours.”

“ I don’t see anything wrong with it though”

“Of course you don’t ---- if we want this to work, we need to change all these and give you the style of a hot b***h femdom that you are.”

“ first you need a hair stylist--- your eyes are beautiful by the way. Then we will go shopping, a lot of transformation to do but trust me to do an excellent work”

They both click glasses with laughter, but Rose was still uncertain about this plan; she really wanted to leave everything behind and start over.
