KIRA CAUSES A PROBLEM

After the kiss that night, Rose has been avoiding Adien which was quite obvious because they work in the same company and even in the same team, so not seeing each other is impossible, Rose only just acted like nothing happened the night before and always avoids eye contact or being alone with Adien. Adien also noticed all these and tried to give her space in other not to appear over bearing --- he really wanted to make things right with Rose, not just because she is his mate but because he saw himself getting drawn to her everyday and he didn’t want to mess this up. Rose on the other hand felt quite regretful for letting Adien kiss her that night, she already decided to move on that means no Adien, now with this kiss, how is she suppose to maintain the professional relationship between them, what if he finds out something?
Working hours are over and its already 5:00 pm, her car is at the mechanic for maintenance and the weather looks like it’s going to rain heavily. She texted Kira to come pick her up since she was on her off which Kira agreed then she waited while rounding up what she was doing.
Few minutes later, Kira called her to come out since she was already at the lobby, Rose took her bag and left the office after saying farewell to other workers.
Kira on the other hand was sitting in her car waiting for Rose when she saw a tall handsome man being led by a guard towards his car. She looked closely feeling like she knows that person, so she came out of her car to have a better look, only to realize that person was Adien, Rose’s ex mate
‘oh my god--- what are the odds that I’d met him in person. He so majestic and tall and handsome. There’s no harm in saying hello right?’
Kira decides to go say hello to Adien who was standing besides his car texting on his phone but was suddenly dragged by Rose to a corner startling her. The sound caught Adien’s attention, so he looked but didn’t find anything before entering his car.
In a corner, Rose covered Kira’s mouth to stop her from making any sound, when Adien’s car finally left, Kira pushed Rose softly
“gosh your hands stinks --- you almost suffocated me, what was that”
“shouldn’t I be asking you that? What were you trying to do”
“I was trying to say hello to a handsome man—what’s the crime there”
“that’s Adien, my boss”
“I know, you showed me his pictures before remember?”
“so—you know but still tried to approach him?”
“oh my god Rose, can you be human for once, not everyone is as cold as you--- besides it’s not my fault that he left me mesmerized. Pictures really blurs his beauty”
“just be careful not to fall for him because you’ll get heartbroken”
“If it was that easy for me to fall in love, I would have been in love with half of the alphas of this city--- but I won't mind being heartbroken if it’s for him” Kira said with dreamy eyes
Rose snort before walking out “ what’s even handsome about him”
While Kira was busy blabbing, she walked straight into Elder Lucian was on his way to visit Adien.
Kira apologized “I’m sorry sir, I wasn’t watching my way”
“It’s fine, just be careful” he replied but Kira noticed how he looked at Rose with an expression that isn't recognition but like he discovered something unsettling, so Kira dragged rose to her car.
While inside the car, Kira asked Rose “Do you know that man? The way he was looking at you felt strange”
Rose did her seat belt before replying “That’s Elder Lucian from Reanon Pack”
“An elder from your pack? What’s he doing here?”
“have you forgotten who owns this place?”
Feeling stupid for asking such question, Kira gave a nervous laugh “But didn’t we just saw Adien leave?”
“Shouldn’t he have called before coming?” Rose replied clearly annoyed
Kira not wanting to piss her more just kept quiet and tries to start the car when Rose said
“Adien and I kissed”
Kira’s keys fell “ what--- how, when did it happen?”
“The day before yesterday, I worked overtime--- we started taking and it just happened”
“Oh my god, I mean I didn’t expect it to happen so soon…. “
“What do you mean ‘you didn’t expect it to happen so soon?’”
“come on girl, how long will you hide from the truth--- you’re both mates, sooner or later you’ll have to face it”
“But I don’t want to”
“you’re just angry, which is why the both of you need to talk--- I’m sure he already regrets what he did. I’m not trying to defend him, all I am saying is you need to give yourself a change to happy--- A lot of people die without even finding their mate while you were destined to be with the same person, trust me, you can't run from it”
Rose was quiet all through, Kira started the car and they drove off.
That night at Elder Lucian’s house, during dinner with his wife, she asked him about his meeting with Adien which he told about not meeting him in the office because Adien left early. Later that night. He recalled the incidence with that lady at the lobby and how familiar the one with silver eyes looked, for some reason he had an unsettling feeling about that lady inside, he picked up his phone and called Diana. He felt that since Diana had a close relationship with Adien, she could dig out information about that lady. He had a feeling that she was no ordinary wolf especially because of that eye color.
“hello Diana, I need you to do something important”
“Elder Lucian good evening, what a coincidence--- I was also about to call you”
