Saying Diana was shocked was an understatement, she couldn’t believe her eyes. For a second, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her.
‘is this real? How could there be such coincidence or did she plan all this? Does Adien knows?’
So many questions running through her head at the same time.
‘why does she look different from what she is in the file? She knew she felt something familiar with Rose, turned out she was the abandoned wolf--- but why change her features, according to the file, she was looking different few months ago. She has never heard of any surgery that could change someone’s face and even the eyes so perfectly and the person recovers so quickly, even as a wolf with healing abilities, it should still take a while to completely recover’
She went through the files over and over again to make sure her eyes weren’t playing tricks on her, she even called the investigator to confirm if the information were indeed accurate.
She kept wondering why Rose would not only change her appearance but also work for Adien, she refuse to believe it was all a coincidence
‘She must have planned it all, just to get her pay back’
She grabs her bag and leaves the room in a hurry.
On the other side, Rose was called to the office again. Adien invites her to sit on the couch while he poured her a glass of champagne
“first of all, I don’t take your hard work and commitment for granted, so to thank you properly, I book a restaurant--- please would you do me the honor of having launch with me”
“Aww.. so sweet but you didn’t have to, I was just doing my job”
“Well you did extra and you deserve to be appreciated specially, what would I have done without your help Rose--- thank you really, I owe you one”
“well since you’re asking nicely--- ok”
“Thank you--- I also noticed you have been avoiding me since that night, which I don’t blame you---its my fault and I’m so sorry”
“I told you that night, no need to apologize--- I guess we were both carried away by the conversation. It's fine really”
“ I’ll also use this launch as opportunity to make it up to you”
“Does that mean I get to eat whatever I want? Cause I didn’t eat breakfast”
They both laughed before Adien seriously pointed out “ but seriously skipping meal is not healthy, so I’ll make sure to overfeed you “
While they were laughing, the door was knocked and Mr Corner came in to tell Adien about Diana waiting for him.
“ I think this is my cue to leave before your woman comes in here and bits me” Rose said jokingly
“see you later then” Adien said waiting for Rose’s answer
“Sure” Rose said feeling shy, so in other not to let Adien notice, she quickly leaves the office.
Diana saw Rose leaving Adien’s office with cheeks red as tomatoes, and suddenly became aggravated. She actually planned on going to Adien immediately and exposing Rose’s true identity to him but she decided to confront Rose directed, for some reason, she felt like seeing Rose’s reaction might calm her anger.
She followed Rose to the Coffee room, for some reason she felt like Rose was purposely leading her there, but it doesn’t matter anyways--- unless Rose kneels to beg her, she’ll expose her to Adien and make sure she loses her job.
“Why are you following me?” Rose turned and faced her
“who followed you? Like you didn’t lead me here intentionally” Diana tried to look less intimidated
“ok so why follow me then”
“wHi--- are you scared that I might know something about your secret” she made sure to lay emphasis on the secret
Rose suddenly became tense but cover it up, she refused to let Diana feel good by watching her reaction
“what secrets would I possibly have?”
“I don’t know, you tell me”
“ if you don’t have anything important to say just leave, as you can see, I’m busy”
Seeing that Rose isn’t reacting as she expected, she decided to reveal everything
“I want to know thought, why would you change your appearance and still choose to work for you ex mate? Hmm?--- is it a coincidence or was it planned?”
Rose who was facing back kept quiet thinking of how to react and respond to Diana. Since she already knows the whole truth, there’s no use denying.
Diana saw Rose’s silence as her panicking so she continued
“If I should say, I think you planned everything. Changed your appearance within weeks, came here, suddenly becoming his most capably employee, clinging all over him--- I see what you’re doing there girl” she chuckled
Rose turned facing Diana with a straight face “ you’ve figured everything out, so? I was beginning to wonder when you'd figure it out. Well done. Are we done?"
Diana didn’t expect what came for her, ‘just a shrug? And so?’
She watched Rose walking towards the door then she burst “ you have 48 hours to quit or I tell him everything” Diana said before walking out
Diana enters Adien’s office “ hy baby” trying to hug him but he slowly stood up to avoid it
“I told you to stop calling me that”
“Come on what am I supposed to call you them… Mr Reanon?”
“Maybe, this is a working environment, you’re meant to call me that”
“You must be joking”
“I’m serious--- and you should go, I’m having launch with a friend”
“I can tag alone since it’s just a friend”
“It's not”
“but you just said---” she got cut off mid sentence
“ Diana please, we’ll talk later ok--- I’m busy right now”
“Busy having launch with friends and just pushing me away?”
“what do you want me to do Diana? We already broke up”
“but I love you Adien and I want to be with you, just….” She got cut off again
“Lets not talk about this please, I have to go” Adien leaves the office
‘is it Rose? She has 48 hours or its going to get messy’
Meanwhile Rose is still in the coffee room confused on whether to tell Adien herself or just quit the job.
