Lisa tossed a brown hoodie away, her eyes scanning her closet as she folded her arms.
"What are you up to?" Miya asked.
Lisa turned around, glancing between the bed and the door.
"How did you get in? Don't you knock anymore?"
"Hey! To be fair, the door was slightly open. I just pushed." Miya shrugged.
"And where is your husband? " Lisa teased.
"We're not even married yet." Miya replied, lighting up the blunt she was holding.
"But soon, babe" Josh announced, as he walked into the room with a bag of chips.
Lisa scoffed as she stormed to the door and slammed it.
"We're already in here. Why bother?" Josh genuinely asked as he stuffed his face with a handful of chips.
"Because, Josh," Lisa started as she reached for a bat that was resting on the wall beside her closet.
"Now, Lisa. I know Mum didn't raise you to be a barbarian. " Miya teased as she blew out smoke.
Lisa groaned and then dropped the bat on the floor.
"I don't even have time for this. " she turned back to her closet.
"Ouuu, a date with Todd on a sunny Saturday. " Miya teased again.
Lisa paused, her heart feeling a sting, and then she turned around.
"We broke up." Lisa muttered.
Josh paused in the middle of chewing his chips while Miya choked on the smoke in her mouth and started coughing.
"What happened? Why? " Miya struggled to bring out her words.
"He cheated on me with someone at work. I walked in on it."
Josh peeped at Miya, then slowly dropped his chips and dusted his hands.
"That bastard. "Miya scoffed. "We should kill him."
"Babe! I can do so much, but getting you out of jail would be harder." Josh gently placed his hand on her waist and pulled her closer to him while her breath raced.
"He's not worth it. Besides, i have an important meeting." Lisa sniffed as she moved her clothes around.
"If it's a meeting, then why are you thinking of what to wear. " Miya asked calmly.
"Because it's a meeting with my boss." Lisa replied.
"Your boss? " Josh repeated.
"As in your boss boss, the CEO?" Miya added.
"Yea. " Lisa's reply was short as if she was trying to avoid the conversation.
"On a Saturday? You can't go to work on a Saturday." Miya complained.
"I agree. My dad is obsessed with his company and money, but he doesn't make his employees work on a Saturday morning." Josh added.
Miya glanced at him with a furrowed brow and then back at Lisa, waiting for a response.
"I'm not going to work. We're meeting at his house." She responded, her voice getting lower with each word she spoke.
"Come again?" Miya scoffed as she left Josh's grip and moved closer to the edge of the bed.
"She said that the meeting was at his house." Josh repeated, stuffing his mouth with a handful of chips.
"Huh!" Miya scoffed."Well, it is a meeting." She turned to Josh while nodding, and then he joined her.
"Yeah!" He trailed, moving closer to Miya on the bed.
"And it's also a Saturday, so you can't look professional or too casual. " Josh added.
"Exactly, baby." Miya smiled while Lisa rolled her eyes, already expecting what was coming.
"So, we.." Miya trailed off, grabbing Josh by the hand and dragging him up.
"Yes we," Josh concurred.
"We will dress you up. " Miya finished.
Lisa stared at both of them, a smile tugging at her lips as she watched Josh reach for his chips.
"Fine." She laughed.

Lisa regretted her decision the moment she stepped into the massive sitting room. The house was spotless and neatly organised and the grand piano near the massive window made it look like a house from the 1800s.
It looked like her presence was the only odd thing there. She looked down at her cream coloured sandals and brown sundress.
"Sit." Seth's voice pulled her from her thoughts as she turned to him.
She nodded and then walked towards the huge brown sofa that rounded the space in the living room. She turned to face Seth, who just casually scrolled through his tablet.
Then, her eyes travelled up to his chest. It was slightly visible from his v-neck knitted sweater. She spotted a mole just above his chest, which made her squint her eyes to see it better, intrigued by how beautifully placed it was.
"If you're done staring. " Seth started, breaking Lisa's eyes from his body. "Can we start?"
"Um, yes, we can. " Lisa quickly looked away, met his eyes, and then turned her face away.
"First. Lisa, right?" Seth asked, sliding his tablet over to her while looking up at her.
"Yes, sir," she replied, reaching for the tablet.
"Please, call me Seth when we're not in the office. " Seth leaned back on the couch.
In the four years she had worked in his company, she only saw him from a distance and barely managed to cross paths with him.
But now she was sitting in his living room, and she has been given permission to call him by name.
Indeed, her life had reached a peak.
"That is the contract. We have a few things to do. It's easy but for a long duration. " Seth spoke.
"The three years, huh?" Lisa answered, reading through the contract.
"Yes. "Seth replied.
"I'm sorry. It says here that we get married. Why are we getting married?" Lisa asked, freaking out as she pointed at the tablet and looked at him.
"That's what i get out of this." Seth replied ,his eyes glued to hers and his legs crossed like it was normal to propose through paper, or even just say it to a random girl.
"Um, okay?" Lisa trailed off, panicking internally till her eyes caught something.
"I'm getting paid? " she looked up at him.
"Yes. After the divorce." Seth replied, reaching for his tablet.
"But for now, we're building the foundation and that is a fake relationship. " Seth added and he leaned on the sofa, dropping the tablet on the table.
"And that helps me how?" Lisa asked.
"Lisa. Have you been with a real man before?" Seth leaned forward, his eyes nearly buring holes into Lisa's.
The question hit like an offence but she felt too embarrassed to get offended.
"And what is a real man, Seth" she leaned forward, trying to maintain his gaze.
"You'll see." Seth lips curled up to a smile. The second time she saw him smile, but this time, his eyes held a glitter of delight.
