**Episode 2
The next day dawned with an ominous haze, casting shadows that danced across the fairy realm. Inside the opulent castle, Lyrax’s fury boiled over. He stormed into his lavish chamber, his footsteps echoing like thunder. “So you're telling me she is human?!!!” he yelled, glaring at Thrain, his loyal but weary bodyguard. “What is a human doing in a world of fairies? Does Dad know?”
“I believe he does,” Thrain replied cautiously, eyeing the prince’s clenched fists.
“He knows?” Lyrax's voice rose to a dangerous pitch. “Then why isn't she dead yet?”
“Whether you kill her or not is really none of your business,” Thrain responded, trying to diffuse the brewing storm.
Just then, the fairy king strode into the room, his regal presence demanding immediate silence. “But, Dad, she is a human!” Lyrax exclaimed defiantly.
“How sure are you that she’s human?” the fairy king shot back, his tone icy but authoritative. “I always make the right decisions, so don’t you dare question my judgment, young man.” He leveled a grave gaze at Lyrax, making it clear that further arguments were futile. “And if you even think about harming her, you will deeply regret it,” he added, turning on his heel and sweeping out of the room, leaving Lyrax in a storm of confusion and anger.

Outside, the air crackled with tension as Lyrax stormed into the school grounds. Anger radiated from him like an aura, causing the other fairies to shrink back in fear. His eyes scanned the crowd, landing on Valtira, her vibrant presence standing out amidst the anxious whispers and sidelong glances she received. At that moment, something twisted in his chest—an inexplicable attraction mixed with venomous resentment. Valtira, feeling the weight of his gaze, turned around only to catch a fleeting glimpse of the disdain on his face. She frowned, extending a tentative hand in greeting, but Lyrax merely turned away, his expression hardening as he walked in the opposite direction, Thrain trailing dutifully behind him.
Disappointment washed over her. *I thought we were friends yesterday. What did I do wrong?* she wondered, heart sinking as she watched him disappear into the throng of other fairies, her hopes deflating like a popped balloon.

Later that afternoon, an unsettling tension steeped the air at the castle. Lyrax returned home early, the weight of the day's confrontations pressing heavily upon him. He aimed to escape into solitude but found his parents deep in conversation. Curiosity piqued, he positioned himself behind a marble pillar, straining to catch snippets of their discussion.
“Darling, why are you protecting this human girl? You know humans don’t belong in Fairyland,” his mother questioned, her voice tinged with concern.
“That girl, Valtira, is Lyrax’s mate,” the fairy king asserted, earning a sharp gasp from his wife. “Her sister, Aurora, is a powerful witch. This isn’t merely a coincidence; their mother was a hybrid.”
Lyrax’s heart pounded as he processed the revelation. *How can a human be the mate of a fairy prince?* His mind raced, confusion and disbelief colliding in a chaotic whirlwind.
“But Dad, what do you mean by ‘mate’?” he exploded with resentment. “There’s no way a human could ever be my mate! That’s absurd!” The cryptic nature of his father's words hit him like a bolt of lightning.
“Lyrax, please—,” the king began with a calm resolve.
“No, I won’t listen! I reject her!” Lyrax roared, storming out of the castle, the feeling of betrayal tightening around him like a noose.

Meanwhile, in her room, Valtira lay sprawled on her bed, scrolling aimlessly through her phone, the glow lighting up her troubled features. Just then, Aurora burst in, a wide smile splitting her face.
“So, how was school?” she beamed.
“Fine, Sissy. Why the cheer?” Valtira shot back, irritation bubbling beneath her façade.
“You’re gonna tear your face with that scowl,” Aurora teasingly replied, waving her hand in dismissal. “Give me details, Missy!”
“No one talks to me, Aurora. They stare at me like I’m some sort of disease. Their eyes are filled with confusion and pity.” Valtira rolled her eyes, a mix of sadness and frustration enveloping her.
Aurora frowned, sensing her sister’s hurt. “So, no friends?”
“None. Now, can you just leave me alone?” Valtira snapped, her heart heavy with unspoken thoughts.
As Aurora walked away, Valtira sighed, a wave of longing crashing over her. *Why couldn’t he just say something?* The ache of her isolated existence loomed large, coupled with the haunting memory of Lyrax’s piercing gaze.
Little did they know that the intricate threads of fate were weaving them together, pulling them toward an inevitable confrontation that would change the course of their lives forever.
