Her Unforgettable Mate

Chapter 6

    Once Andrew had a good nights rest, he decided that he wanted to know more about Freya. He had noticed when she got up early and went to train with the pack, as she had left a note for him. This gave him some time to shower, eat and dress as nicely as he could with the clothes he had borrowed. I still need to go home and get my clothes, he thought as another crossed his mind-work. He groaned and mentally berated himself for not calling sooner. He made the call to his boss saying that he had an accident and would be able to get a doctors note for him. As he ended the call, he thought about how he was going to explain what has happened to him in the last few days. 

    Thinking about it he got up and went to the door to call for the doctor, seeing him round the corner, the doctor started to berate him for not resting.

    "I know that i am supposed to be resting but i honestly feel good, there isn't much pain anymore," Andrew defended himself.

    "Well.. as long as you limit your movements and rest religiously, you should be fine. Now, what did you want to talk about?"

    "I realized that i would need a doctors note for my work, as i have been out for the last few days, plus I don't know how i would explain that i was shot with an arrow while helping a wolf.."

    "You may want to check with the alpha about your job, and after that we can talk about a doctors note," the doctor said while chuckling. 

    "Where can I find the Alpha?"

    "Training should be done, so he should be in his office on the fifth floor, the second door on the right."

    "Thank you"

    "No problem, and remember, take it slow."

    Andrew left and went to the elevator to call it, stepping in and pushing the button for the fifth, he started to get nervous again. It's not that he didn't like the Alpha, but more so of the power that he radiated. Reaching the fifth floor and stepping out of the elevator, he came to the door that said Alpha Damien on it, figuring that that was the office, he knocked.

    "Come in," came a deep voice.

    "Alpha," Andrew greeted him with a smile.

    "Andrew! How are you feeling today?"

    "I'm doing good actually, I just wanted to ask you something.."

    "What's that?"

    "Well, I had asked the doctor about a note for work since I've missed the last three days, and he had told me to talk to you about my job. I don't really know what he meant, so i came to ask you," Andrew explained.

    "Ah, well.. since you are my eldest daughters mate, you two would be taking over me and my wife's positions as Alpha and Luna of this pack. Therefore, you wouldn't need a job, other than serving and protecting this packs' members." 

    "Oh...wow. I was not expecting to hear that, but i do have one other question-"

    "Just one?"

    "For now," Andrew chuckled. "I'm pretty sure I'll have more, but as you had said, I would have to serve and protect the pack and it's members.. How would i do that if i am just a human? I have no supernatural abilities, I can't shift into a werewolf like all of you can. I wouldn't even be able to protect myself without blacking out from the pain."

    Alpha Damien watched with pride showing on his face with a smile."I am glad that you thought of the pack before yourself, that is one of the many traits of being an alpha. As for you being human; did you know that in a pack, there are only two people that can turn a human into a werewolf? The Alpha, me, and the Luna, my wife are the only ones able to do so, and in order for you to take up the mantle as alpha, you will need to be turned into a werewolf."

    Andrew paled and visibly as well as audibly gulped. "Tu-turn m-me?"

    "Yes,  in order to take up the mantle of alpha, you need to be a werewolf. That would mean that i would have to bite you to transfer werewolf dna into your bloodstream, where you would begin to change. After that, we would accept you into the pack as a member and as my heir. From there you would train, physically with the pack and with me for alpha duties."

    Andrew just sat back in his chair with an exhasperated look on his face.

    "What seems to be the problem?"

    "Nothing, it's just a lot to take in. And truthfully, I don't know how i would be able to live up to these expectations.'

    "Trust me, you will do fine. As far as i can see, you have a good head on your shoulders and a good heart. With the help of Freya, me and Maya, you will do great," Alpha Damien said as his eyes clouded over. "Freya is wondering where you are, be prepared, because she thinks she scared you off," he said with a chuckle.

    "I'll let you know if I have any more questions," Andrew said as he took his leave, heading back down to his temporary hospital room. When he finally reached his room, he was startled by the blonde blur he saw just before it crashed into him. 

    "Where were you?!?" she yelled as she wrapped her arms around him and he groaned in pain. "Sorry! I guess i just forgot because I had thought that you had left," she said with a pout.

    "Don't worry, I was just talking with your father. I am not the kind of person to just up and leave, Okay?" he said as he lifted her chin with his thumb and forefinger. "Okay?

    "Okay.." They were already leaning close to each other as they moved even closer. Andrew took that as a hint, and kissed Freya. Not a loving kiss, but a tender exploritive kiss. After a few seconds, Andrew ran his tongue across her bottom lip, asking for entrance. She granted him access and fighting for dominance, she let him win. As she moved her hands to the back of his neck, careful not to touch his shoulder, and him moving his hand towards the side of her neck, causing her to shiver.

    They both pulled away slowly and rested their foreheads against each other to catch their breath. 

    "Wow.." Andrew said when he noticed her eyes flickering back and forth from her blue eyes to black, as if she was having a hard time to control her wolf. "It's okay, Freya. I know that your wolf won't hurt me. Especially when i'm already injured. you can bring her forth."
