“Penny, wait up,” Emma says, trying to get Penny’s attention, running a little, leaving Parker behind. “English, right?”
Penny turns around, her movement makes Lucas who is holding her turn around as well. “Hey, Emma,” she says, hugging her. “You too?”
“Yep,” Emma says, then turns to Parker. “Parker too.”
Parker smiles and waves a little to both Penny and Lucas. “Hey, guys,” he says. “Good summer, I take it?”
His comment makes Penny blush, she turns to Lucas. She doesn’t want to be the one who answers the question. She doesn’t want to step on Lucas’ toes. What if she gives Parker a wrong answer? After all, Penny and Lucas are not exclusive. They’re not really dating. They’re just… friends with benefit. Although, Penny hopes for more.
