Three years later…
Kate walks inside the VIP’s room in a hospital in New York. Logan was there, after a surgery. He’s alone, his dad and Lucas just left to get something to eat. Kate knows this, she has waited for hours in hiding just so she can see Logan without having to meet with both Lucas and his dad. Kate is there to visit Logan, she’s not ready to face the other two.
Logan had an accident on the field during one of the games. He collided with one of the opponent players and dislocated his shoulder, his throwing shoulder. And that is a calamity. This can be bad, very bad. He might never be back to his top performance ever again, and the recovery can take weeks, months even. He’s only twenty-nine, young still for a regular man but not necessary when it comes to a football player.
