The large chamber had four tunnels leading out of it, though only one had a trail of teleplasm leading deeper into the maze. Christoph followed along the trail, a blue flame flickering in front of him to guide the way, while Ezra and Ukah trailed behind with Vivian. The rest of the soldiers were bringing up the rear, crossbows loaded and ready for any kind of issues they might stumble upon. The glowing trail grew thicker and more coagulated as they turned down tunnel after tunnel, their bright stars slowly dimming as the Astral energy pumped into them began to grow weaker.
“We need to hurry,” Vivian muttered, “the night is wearing on and the moons are slowly sinking. Dawn will be here before we know it.”
