Just a few hours after my mom’s death, I’m sitting at an attorney’s office. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am - my mom left me with no inheritance. Not even the freaking house is my home anymore.

My jaw drops when I hear the attorney’s words. Not because of the inheritance, but Veronika Stratmos? What the hell? Who the heck is that?!
“Veronika Stratmos?” I laugh at the absurd situation. It’s so messed up that it’s funny. “But...but that’s insane! I don’t have a sister named Veronika Stratmos.”
Or do I? Did my mom have a secret child without telling me, and if yes, then with whom? And how old is she?!
