Seven. Janice’s house was exactly what Hanelli expected, it was an artist’s retreat in the middle of suburbia. Strange artwork filled the walls. The living room was more an art studio than a living place. Odd colors filled place. It was different and Hanelli loved it. “Jim, I don’t believe you’ve met Dustin,” Janice said, introducing Hanelli’s husband to the other man in the room. For a moment Jim forgot that Hanelli had told him that Dustin wasn’t Janice’s husband, or boyfriend really. Supposedly they were just friends with benefits, but he got the sense that their relationship was something else beyond that. Dustin was incredible young compared to the artist, younger than either Hanelli or himself. They shook hands and sized each other up. Jim was certain that Janice had told her love
