Currently, Kion and Aleisha are still resting in the middle of their journey to get out of the forest. They also filled their bellies with some fruits and a bottle of water which was shared between the two of them.
Aleisha which already finished her part now is deep thought about something. She looked at Kion who currently is still drinking. Can not hold herself from asking, she then said, "hey Kion can I ask you about something?"
Kion looked at her and then calmly said, "What it is?"
"Why are kill the antler that antler in a very cruel way?"
Kion becoming for a few seconds before said, "what are you mean by 'cruel'? What is cruel?"
Aleisha frowning hearing that, and then said, "You really doesn't know what 'cruel' means?"
Kion just nodded as her reply. After confirming that, Aleisha eyes widened and thus said, "how is that possible? Are your parents never taught you about right and wrong?!"
Kion seems doesn't bother by her high tone. He just looked at her calmly and said, "what is a parent? Why do they have to teach me about right and wrong? And what is right and wrong?"
"Hah! Why are you asking all that?! And what is a parent, doesn't it very clear! They were the person who raise you! Don't tell me that you never meet them even once in your life?!"
Kion tilted his head and reply her by saying, "but I never meet any human until now except, you."
"What... Are you serious?"
Kion nodded and then said, "as long I remember, before meeting you, all I meet is just animals and some ghouls, or can parents be from creatures like them?"
Aleisha eyes widened and her eyes also started to get wet. She then in a low voice said, "no, they can only be human."
"So, does that mean I don't have parents?"
"No, you have, you just haven't met them."
"I see," said in a normal tone. There is no change in his facial expression that makes him look doesn't think the fact that he never meet his parents was an important thing.
After hearing that Aleisha eyes started to
tear. Abandoned by his parents because they are too poor, an illegitimate child from a noble, his parents are already being killed because of the bandit, and many bad things that could be the reason why he never meet his parents from some books she read popped up to her head making her feel really bad.
"I am sorry, Kion," said Aleisha with a low voice.
"Why do you say 'sorry'?"
"Because I did something wrong."
"And why that's important?"
"Because if I did something wrong, I am becoming a bad person, and my father taught me that a bad person is only trash."
"I, see," Kion said it calmy and remembering all of that in his brain.
The two of them remain silent after that for a few minutes before Aleisha wipe her tears then lift her face and looked directly at Kion thus with a normal tone she said something.
"I will explain to you about all those things, but after that can you tell me your stories?"
"My stories? What kind of story do you mean?"
"Everything you remember until we meet that night."
"No problem, I will tell you my stories."
Aleisha show a little smile, she then explained what she know about the meaning of parents, cruel things, then right and wrong. She is especially very detailed in right and wrong by adding many examples.
"Stealing which means taking other people's things without permission and not returning them is wrong."
"Alms is means something such as money or food that is given freely to relieve the poor distributing alms to the needy, which is a right thing."
She then continues it by adding a few more examples of the right and wrong things complete with an explanation of what is those things for ten minutes straight before ending her talk.
"So, do you understand my explanation?"
"Yeah." Then Kion nodded. He planted a lot of the things he just heard into his head. He then raised his head, whereupon he could see that the sky was clear with only a few clouds in the sky and the sun was clearly visible.
After that, he turns his head to a little tree that is not far here. He looked to its shadow, the shadow right under the object, or static does not lengthen or shorten for some time.
After confirming the time, he turns his head to Aleisha and said, "we have to continue our journey now."
"Ok, but you should tell me your stories."
"No problem, I will tell you everything while we walking."
Aleisha smiled hearing that, then with Kion in the front and Aleisha not far behind they walking continue their journey to getting out from the forest.
