Chapter 3 - Aleisha Speculation

"He coming back," said Aleisha from behind a stone. Even if their range is not close but because of various things that not she recognized in the cave that release brilliant lights, she can see Kion who was still walking to the cave.

But that was not important compared to what her eyes were caught, which made her heart pound fast and her eyes covered with fear.

Kion who was saved her not long ago now is dragging an antler with his small hand on it horn. It seems unbelievable because compared to that antler, Kion body may be just the same as that antler leg. But somehow that antler doesn't move an inch while Kion slowly drags that antler.

Her eyes changed to see the antler in his side and said something with a low voice, "how cruel, what was he do to that antler?"

"Grouu... " That Antler groaning softly that make it look like he is in a deep pain, even if there is look like there is not any scar in him. But because of what she found not long ago, she is wholeheartedly sure that Kion has already done something really bad to that antler.

While her eyes still focused on that antler, Kion stopped his feet not far from the cave entrance. He release his hand from that antler, his sudden move make the antler head move fast and fall very hard into the ground.

"Why... Why does he have to treat that antler very bad?" She gritted her teeth can not accept how Kion treated that antler.

"Maybe I have to stop him?" She murmured in low voice. She moved on her feet, but after two-step, she stop. She remembered what she found last day, the scent of blood in a water bottle.

That scent make her remember some kind of creature from a sleep tale she heard once from a maid in her house and in that story those creatures are not the kind one.

"What if... What if he eat me?" Her whole trembling very strongly about that and without hesitation, she turn back her body and running more deep into the cave while searching for a hiding place. But while she still running her nose suddenly catch a very strong scent.

She stopped her feet and quickly move his head back. After catching the source of that scent her leg loses power to make her fall to the ground while her eyes and mouth open wide.

"Ah-ah... "

In her memory, there is never saw something more gruesome than this. That antler now is lying down on the ground while keep releasing a low voice that sounds like a cry and from his neck blood like a fountain splattered everywhere coloring many places with a piece of fishy and disgusting red color.

Even if that splattered blood seems truly disgusting, Kion who was right on the side of the antler doesn't move a single inch. His whole body is painted red, but he doesn't care about it. He just crouched there while both of his hands holding ice that shaped like the sharp eye of a spear and his eyes watching when the soul of that antler slowly left the body.

After five minutes that antler stopped his voice and did not move anymore, blood also stopping out from that antler. Kion releases his grip on his weapon, that sharp eye of spear quickly melting and turning into a small cup of water. He then open his hand and makes many streams of blood move to his hand, after a few seconds all that blood, freezes turn into a butchering knife.

Without wasting any more time, he swings his red knife through the neck of that antler separate antler neck and body. But different before that there is no blood coming out from it. Not giving much attention to that, Kion start skinning and dismembering the deer's body into several pieces.

He moved his hand fast and skilled, not bothered by the fishy smell and image that should be really gruesome for ten years old child.

On other hand, Aleisha can not stand this image and starts to spit out all her food from her mouth.

"He a monster!" She said it with a trembling voice. For someone who always live in a safe and comfortable place, Kion act for butchering that antler looked absolutely very unacceptable. That make her believe that Kion is truly a bloodlust creature.

"I have to get out of here! If not he definitely gonna eat me!" She then moves his head around searching for another way out from this cave.

Meanwhile Kion now already butchered more than 60% of that antler body. He separates all that into two different bags with each it using a different method to save it.

The meat in the first bag was cleaned in the river near the entrance of the cave then wrapped in leaves that he had previously collected and then he froze it. Meanwhile, the meat in the second bag after being cleaned, he just froze it and then stored it in the bag.

While continuing butchering that antler, suddenly a ringing voice sounded in his head, and the transparent screen appeared.

Just like usually there is a list of a few missions. Kion stopped his activity and started reading it one by one.

1. Find daggers (0/2)

2. Exterminate the ghouls (87/100)

3. Hunt an antler (1/1)

4. Butcher it and save it into two different bags (2/2)

5. store some of the antler meat in a frozen state.

6. Wrap with leaves then store some the of antler meat in a frozen state.

After he finishes reading all of it, another ringing voice sounded. Some of the missions disappeared and four new missions appears together with some on the remaining missions.

1. Find parts of two daggers and craft it tonight.

2. Exterminate the ghouls tomorrow (87/100)

3. Tonight remove the blood on the ground and destroy your clothes

4. Change into light armor tonight.

5. Kill Giant Ghoul tonight (0/1)

6. Tomorrow escort Aleisha Wylen until she arrive at House of Wylen.

The transparent screen disappear after Kion finishes reading all the change in the mission list. He then stab the remaining body of the antler and then send a cold aura that make both of them covered with ice.

"Fall," Said Kion in low voice. The red butchering knife and remains of antler explode turn into a bunch of snow flying in the air that after a few seconds its disappears without a single trace.

He grabs some leaf that from a small plant not far from him and then places his right hand on his chest and like before, he turned his whole clothes turn become a bunch of snow and make it disappear without a trace.

While grabbing some leaf Kion started walking to the river and with each step he do, the blood and fishy smell in that place slowly vanished until there is nothing left anymore.

After there is no single trace of blood left in the river, he starts to wash his body for cleaning all debris that was left from before.

While Kion still cleaning his body, in the cave Aleisha who is still busy looking for another exit a few minutes ago now is sitting on the ground with her breath unstable.

"It can be, am I... gonna die here?" She said it with a trembling voice and tears starts to drop from her eyes. She already searching in every side, corner, and many places in the cave, but there is no single way out she found.

She keeps crying for more than five minutes, but her cry starts to weaken due to a realization.

"Why there is no fishy smell anymore?" She then takes a deep breath, but there is no more scent of blood in the air.

"Is he going again?!" Thinking about that, her mind bright and she moved her head to the cave entrance, but unfortunately, she is too far from there so her eyes can not see there. She walks for a few steps but still can not have a clear vision.

"Maybe, maybe I have to move more further ahead, but what if he is currently hiding and waiting for eat me out there."

Her body began shaking because of fear, but that did not last for long because of a small light emitting from his right wrist.

She looked at his hands where it was nothing in there before, but now a white glove appeared there. Together with that the remaining pain that comes from her scar before and her fatigue starting to disappear. Not only that someplace that has been torn in her dress starting to repair itself make it become better even if it is not like new, it already better than before.

Looking at that light she remembered a few things that make all her sadness and despair vanish from her mind.

She quickly gets up and walks slowly ahead until she arrives at the entrance of the cave. She could smell the blood scent again but now is not strong as before. She peeked outside, there is no sign of the antler and Kion.

"He really already gone!" She can not hide her excitement. Her eyes become sharp and without hesitation, she runs as fast as she can while ignoring the disgusting red liquid and fishy smell around her, even after all that no longer remain around her she doesn't stop running through the forest.

After thirty minutes her leg can not hold it anymore and slowly she reduce her running speed until finally she stop and leaned into a tree trunk.

"I think it's already far enough, he can not find me anymore now." She take a deep breath, finally could rest ease.

Just when she thought everything already safe and she could rest. Suddenly there is something fall not far ahead from her.

Duaarrr....!

That thing make dust flying to everywhere and many tree fall to the ground.

"Uh! what is that?!"

Behind the dust a pair red eyes glowing and giant figure slowly raise make her heart whi just calm began to be fully with fear.
