"How are you feeling now?" Asher asked hesitantly as he looked at his Mom who was sitting on the bed.
"Hmm... I'm fine," The poor woman nodded.
Silence crept into the atmosphere for the next few seconds before he broke it.
"Sorry, I didn't show up the other day. I had something to deal with at the office," He hated to apologise to her but still, he couldn't help it. He couldn't help but feel guilty even though he didn't have a reason to. She must've waited for him that day thinking he was going to show up. Well, he didn't show up not because he was busy but because he wasn't ready to be hooked up with some lady. Besides, he was married to Ashley for now and couldn't see any other woman.
