Ann sat on the edge of the bed and buried her face between her palms as tears streamed down her cheeks. Thinking about everything she had done to Ashley in the past, she regretted it all now. She was left all alone with no one by her side, not even Ace who used to dote on her as though his life depended on it.
"What do I do?" She whimpered as she slowly sank her fingers into her hair and breathed in deeply.
Her heart missed a beat and she rose to her feet when a knock sounded on the door.
"Wh...who is there?" Her voice quivered fearfully, scared that it was either Ace or his Mom.
"Are you going to lock me out of my son's room now?" Her heart almost left her chest when she heard the terrifying voice of Mrs. Grey. Her heart beat rapidly against her chest
