Ashley could not hold back her tears around Asher even after she tried hard to. The thought of how Ace treated her back then when she was pregnant with his child kept haunting her, and for a second, she blamed herself for everything. If only she had not listened to him and had kept the babies on two different occasions, then she would've had a child of her own by now.
The car suddenly pulled over in the middle of nowhere, demanding Ashley's attention which she gave as she looked out of the window and realised that they were parked on a bridge in an unfamiliar place.
Slowly, she averted her gaze to Asher who had been silent all through the ride, and he was staring straight into space with a bland expression on his face.
"W...why are we here? Are we not going home?" Her voice
