There was luncheon waiting for them in a very attractive Saloon decorated in pale green. “I never thought of our going away in a yacht,” Lencia smiled. “What could be a better way to escape from the world than to be on the sea where no one can find us?” the Duc asked. “And where are we going?” Lencia wanted to know. “To places that you have never seen before and that I want to show you. Also,” the Duc added quietly, “to a Heaven all of our own.” Lencia gazed at him and took off her hat. They ate the delightful food, which she knew had been cooked by a French chef. It was impossible to think of anything but her husband sitting opposite her at the table. He was looking at her with an expression in his eyes that told her without words how much he loved her.
