CHAPTER SEVEN –––––––– MCNAMARA LEFT THE FLAT and closed the door behind him, taking care that it didn’t lock automatically behind him. The detective decided to wait for his people’s arrival in the hallway, right there in front of the flat. The chief inspector unbuttoned his coat because it was quite warm in the hallway. Then, he leaned on the wall with his hands burrowed in his pockets and his ankles crossed.
