My Possessive Husband ❤️❤️💕 Writer: Luna Boluwaji ❤️💕💕💕💕💕 Chapter Nine Esther walked into her bedroom and smiled faintly as she saw two maids standing respectfully beside the bed with their heads bowed. She quietly closed the door behind her and took a few steps into the room. Her eyes wandered around the luxurious bedroom. It looked like something from a fairy tale. Every piece of furniture had been carefully arranged, making the room feel warm and elegant. A large teddy bear sat proudly on the neatly made bed. Curious, Esther walked closer and burst into a soft laugh when she read the words embroidered across it. "My Adorable Daughter." She gently shook her head, a complicated smile appearing on her lips. "What a strange family," she murmured. "If I hadn't been given a second chance, I would have believed they truly loved me. But now I know the truth." She slowly sat on a nearby chair and looked at the two maids, who patiently waited for her instructions. As she studied their faces, memories from her previous life came rushing back. Unlike the rest of the family, these two women had always treated her with kindness. They comforted her whenever she cried and never looked down on her despite her difficult situation. A gentle smile spread across Esther's face. "I'm truly grateful for this second chance," she thought. "This time, I'll protect everyone who was kind to me." "And I'll never repeat the mistakes of my past." --- The following morning... A loud burst of music echoed through the mansion, waking Esther from her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes, stretched lazily, and rubbed the sleep from her face. Just as she was about to get out of bed, the bedroom door suddenly flew open. Mr. David hurried inside. Esther frowned immediately. "What happened?" she asked coldly. "Don't you know it's rude to enter someone's room without knocking?" Mr. David was taken aback. For a brief moment, anger flashed across his face. How dare she speak to him like that? But remembering his purpose for coming, he forced himself to remain calm. "I'm sorry," he said with a fake smile. "I came because there's something important we need to discuss." Esther folded her arms. "What is it?" Mr. David took a deep breath before speaking. "Our family recently reached an agreement with Eloquent Company." He paused. "As part of the agreement... you will marry their CEO." Silence filled the room. Esther slowly lifted her head and stared at him. "What?" Her voice was calm, but her eyes burned with anger. "So I'm the family's sacrifice again?" Mr. David sighed. "It's not like that, Esther. This marriage will benefit everyone." Esther laughed bitterly. "You only care about your company." Her words struck him like a slap. His expression darkened. "You don't have a choice." He stepped closer. "And remember..." "Your grandparents are still living in that village." The room suddenly became quiet. Esther's heart tightened. She knew exactly what he meant. If she refused... The people she loved most could become his next targets. She slowly lowered her eyes. "I'm still too weak," she thought. "If I want to protect my grandparents, reclaim my mother's company, and fight this family..." "Then perhaps marrying that mysterious CEO is my only choice." After a long silence, she looked up again. A cold smile appeared on her face. "So..." "I really don't have a choice, do I?" Mr. David smiled with satisfaction. "I knew you'd make the right decision." Esther looked away. Enjoy your victory while you can. This time... I won't lose. To be continued…
