Chapter 7

Marcus POV

I woke up to a squeal, I shot up and went off the bed with my hands up so she would not calm down she looked scared and confused why I was on the bed next to her sleeping while she was holding my arm. I held my hands up with a sad smile on my face, I did not mean to fall asleep, but I must have been more tired than I had thought. “I came in with food as I promised you, but when I came in you were having a nightmare, and I came over to calm you down. When you calmed down, I tried to get up but you kept holding my arm and I did not want to wake you so I decided to stay by your side, but I guess I fell asleep. I am sorry; I did not mean to scare you.” I told her this hoping she would understand. She looked at me while thinking it slowly led my hands down. “Tha-nk y-you fo-r kee-ping t-the nig-ht-mares a-away, an-d so-sorry for breaking out.” She told me while looking down with a small smile on her face and a slight blush, she looked adorable doing this and I could not get enough of her angelic voice and I was waiting for the day she would say something without her stutter, although it was cute, it was a sign she was not completely comfortable with me yet and I wanted her to be so much. I looked at her and saw the fruit next to the bed I had brought up for her, and I thought by myself that she only had four bites at breakfast and that she must be hungry. “How about you fresh up a little while I wait here and then we can go downstairs to have dinner since we missed lunch.” I told her. She kept blushing and nodded her head. I sat down on the bed thinking about her, what could she have been dreaming about, that would have such an impact on her that she would scream, I hoped she would tell me someday. I mind linked James and Luca to get here for dinner because I wanted to introduce them to Anna, I told them they could bring their mates if they could control them. They laughed at that and told me they were coming. After I mind linked my beta and delta, I mind linked the cook to ask him if he could prepare something for the six of us with the ingredients and vitamins, I had given him earlier this day. He told me he was getting at it right away and I broke our link. I kept sitting on the edge of my bed while waiting for my mate. When I heard the bathroom, door open I looked at her and I admired her, she was by far the most beautiful person I had ever seen. I stood up and told her to follow me to the dining room. She followed me I wanted to hold her, but I did not because I knew she was not ready, for now, this was enough. We walked to the dining room in silence, it was a comfortable silence, I liked this, it felt like she was feeling safe with me, and I loved that idea. When we reached the dining room I entered, and I saw James and Luca already there with their mates. I looked at them being comfortable with their mate a looking very happy, I wondered if I was looking happy as well, I felt happier. I looked at my side little mate’s side indicated that she had taken cover behind my back seeing the people sitting at the table. I could feel her getting a little nervous. I let out a light chuckle, this is what alerted the people at the table that they were not alone anymore, and they looked over at us. I greeted them and walked over to the table I sat down at my usual spot and waited for Anna to sit down. But she did not I looked back, and I saw her standing behind me. It made me upset that she did not feel comfortable enough to sit next to me, but I figured that it could also be because of her past, that she was not allowed to sit at the table, this made me angry. “What are you doing over there, come sit next to me. That is if you want to, I do not want to force you to do things you do not want to, but this makes eating a little easier.” I told her in the hope she would not be up to say about me saying it and would sit down, and to my pleasure, she sat down beside me. She blushed a little and looked down at her hands fumbling with her. And then the girls could not hold back any longer. “Aaahhh she is so cute” “she sure is look at that little blush on her face, oh it is getting darker.” “yeah, and those beautiful eyes.” I sighed internally, why could they not keep their mates under control, she was getting redder by the second, although cut, not what I wanted, I wanted her to feel safe and comfortable with me. I coughed, they looked at me. “Why do I not introduce you before you make my mate run away.” I told them they looked at me in shock and then at my mate who had the same colour as a tomato. Their mind linked me to apologising, not making my mate feel more uncomfortable. “I-i-t is o-ok-ay, I d-o no-t mi-mind.” She told them, even though it was noticeable that it did bother her, it seemed she did not want them to get in trouble, which they were not. But it made another aww come out of them which made me a little agitated, but I kept my mouth shut. A few seconds later, the chef walked in with a few omegas carrying the food set on the table and told us to have a nice dinner before they left. Anna stared at the food, not knowing what to do with it, it made me a little angry again, but I swallowed it and told everyone that they could eat. But Anna did not she kept starring at her still empty plate. “Are you not hungry?” I asked her. She looked at me and shook her head. “I a-m still f-full fro-from break-fast.” I doubted it since she only had four bites, but what if this was more than she ate daily ack there, I was trying to be understanding, but I was hell bend on her eating a little more because she had eaten too less. “Alright, but you did not eat a lot with breakfast, so how about I put something on your plate, and you eat what you can and when you do not want anything anymore you just stop, is that alright.” She nodded her head. I took her plate and put a little on it from everything and gave it back to her with a smile she looked at the plate like I had given her way too much, but it was not even half of what I had. She picked up her fork and started to eat a little bit. After five bites she put her fork down, but I was happy that she ate. I talked with James and Luca about pack business and the girls talked about other stuff, like clothes, shopping, movies, and the things they had done that day. Anna just listened to everything, I got the feeling she was getting tired, I looked after her, and she looked lost in her thoughts. I saw her pick up her fork for bite number six and to put her fork back down after it, still lost in thoughts.

Anna’s POV

When I saw the food come in, I was struck by the amount of it, it was even more than with breakfast. The people sad the food down and said to enjoy it, I kept starring at it, not feeling like eating at al. Marcus said that we could go eat and everyone did except for me. I just did not know what to do. “Are you not hungry?” Marcus asked me to look at him and I shook my head no. “I a-m still f-full fro-from break-fast.” I told him not knowing what else to say and kept looking at all the food with a blush on my face. “Alright, but you did not eat a lot with breakfast, so how about I put something on your plate, and you eat what you can and when you do not want anything anymore you just stop, is that alright.” He asked me. I thought about it and I thought I could eat a little and if I were getting too fat I could always puke out, so I nodded my head. He took my plate and put a little on it from everything. I looked at my plate in shock, there was a lot of food on it, when he put it down, he made a plate for himself and I took my fork. I started to eat and after five bites I put my fork down, not sure if I could eat anymore. “Why do you not eat anymore, I can see and feel you like it, I like it too.” Hope told me. “I am not that hungry, I ate breakfast, and I have already eaten more now then!” I told her. “Hmpf, one more is not a lot” “That is true, but I do not want to gain more weighed, I am already heavy, and the doctor wants me to gain even more!” I told her. “You are not fat, and you do not weigh too much, you are beautiful just like you are. Come on eating a little more.” She told me, and I took my fork for another bite, I put my fork back down after I did. “See, I had one more.” I told her. “Good girl, you should eat more.” She told me and went back into my mind, still feeling a little weak. I started to feel a little tired, but I did not want to tell Marcus because he was looking like he was having a good time. But I was feeling tired and Marcus started to notice. “Are you tired?” he asked me. I nodded my head “A-a little, b-but y-you c-can k-keep on talking. I d-o n-not mi-mind.” I told him while suppressing a yawn. But he saw right threw me. He stood up and asked me to follow him. He excused us and we left upstairs. When we were upstairs, we went to his room and we walked in. I kept standing next to his bed not sure what to do, he came back out with sweatpants on and a white T-shirt. He had something similar in his hands and gave them to me. “You can sleep in these for tonight I will get you some real clothes tomorrow, you can change in the bathroom, I will wait here for you.” I looked at him and then at the clothes in my hands, what did he mean with real clothes, these were more than fine to me, it was the best clothes I had ever had. “I d-o no-not n-need ot-other cl-clot-hs, th-ese a-are fi-ne.” I told him. “I want to give you the best in the world, this includes clothes, so I am getting you better once, but these will do for now. Go change, so you will be able to get to sleep, you look really tired.” I did what he told me and went to the bathroom to freshen up and put on his clothes and I folded the old ones again. I walked back out and he was standing there by the door with some stuff in his hands, I looked at it, it looked like some kind of toothbrush, hairbrush, braids and soap all kinds of things that he would not need, except for the toothbrush, I looked at him confused and he told me these were for me and he explained to me that the toothbrush worked on electricity and he showed me how it worked. He took me back into the bathroom, placing all the stuff in the shower and cabinets. When he turned around, he saw the folded clothes and put them in the washing bin and told me I could do that with all my clothes and that I would get them back clean. I nodded my head. He gave me the toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it and then he did the same to his. He put it in his mouth turned it on and started to move it around in his mouth. I did the same as him and I just copied him, not knowing how it exactly worked, but I found out it was not that different from a normal one. After we were both done in the bathroom, we walked back into the bedroom and he guided me to the bed, telling me to get in, I did what he told me. “Hey, you have done nothing wrong, but I thought that you would feel more comfortable, with me in another room so you would be alone. But since the walls are soundproof, I will leave the door open just like mine so if something is wrong, I will know, and I will come to help you. If you want me to stay you need to say so, that way I will stay here on the couch.” I did not say anything, he thought about what I would feel most comfortable about, and not just at his own needs. I was so lost in thoughts that I did not notice him getting up, he gave me a light peck on my forehead which made me blush and told me goodnight and turned to leave, he walked to the door and left it open. “Mar-cus?” “Yes, little mate.” I blushed a little at his nickname for me. “G-goodnight,” I told him, he smiled at me and left. I put down my head with a smile on my face and I fell asleep.
