His little mate

Chapter 12

Marcus POV

Yesterday was amazing. I had meetings al day, so I could not be with mine Anna, but with doing al these meetings I can take a break when my family comes tomorrow. I am currently lying-in bed with my beautiful mate. The sun is rising and I am watching it come up threw the curtains. I was over the moon when Anna had asked me if I wanted to sleep in the same bed as her. I could not contain myself I was to happy. And now we had a good night sleep, without nightmares, and I am happy for that.

She needed this sleep, after al the baking she had done yesterday. And she did not have a full night of sleep since she had woken up from her coma. I was shocked when she came into my office yesterday with al those sweets, and they where haven. And when I was done and went downstairs, she had those brownies. Mann I would die for those they were even better than my moms, and that says a lot.

I knew that she had made way too many sweets for my family, but I think they will just laugh about it and find it cute, that is what I think. I am thinking of doing a high tea in stead of a lunch with apple juice for the twins. I just want to see if Anna will like it. I decided to give my dad a call when Anna was awake. I am now just going back to staring at her.

I have been sharing at her for about an hour, and the sun had completely risen. And the sun was shinning on her face. She was beginning to stir, so I am going to pretend to be still sleeping, to see what she does, but I will not do it for long, we need to get ready.

Anna’s POV

I was beginning to wake up, there was light shinning on my face, so I began to move around but somehow I could not move, there was something heavy on my stomach. Then I remembered yesterday, I had asked Marcus if he wanted to sleep in the same bed as me, and he had said yes. I was really nervous when I went to sleep, but it was so peaceful that I fell asleep within seconds. And now I am waking up because of the sun, this has never happened before, it were always nightmares, someone, or a noise. This was heaven.

But now I had a problem, I was awake, and I needed to go to the toilet, but I did not want to wake up Marcus, and by the sound of it, he was not waking up soon. “Hope, do you know what to do?” I asked. “No, I do not know, but why do you want to leave, are you not comfortable here?” she asked, knowing very well why I wanted to get out. “No it is not that, I really like being in his arms, I feel save. But I really, really need to pee.” I told her. She waited a minute before she awnserd because she was enjoying this as much as I am. “How about you move a little by little a wiggle yourself out of his arms.” She told me and is sounded like a good plan. “But what if he wakes up, what do I do then, what if he gets mad?” I asked her. “If you just explain to him he will not get mad, I promise you.” She told me, and with those words I started to move my way out of his embrace.

I turned myself around so I was facing him, and man, he looked really handsome with his sleeping face. If I had the courage I would kiss him on his lips and put my hand on his cheek. Bit I did not so I just went on with my mission, getting out of his arms, to the toilet and get back to him before he wakes up. But when I started to wiggle my way out of his arms he tightened his grip and I stopped moving, afraid he was waking up, when I was sure he was not, I continued. But then I stopped, “What do you think you are doing my little mate.” Marcus spoke to me, and I did not know what to say, I just stopped moving and I could not look up at him, I was to nervous, what if Hope were wrong and he would get mad.

I took a deep breath and I decided to listen to Hope and tell him the truth. “I am sorry t-that I woke y-you up, b-but I really had to pee, and I-I did not want to wake you up.” I told him, I was really nervous about his answer. Because I have never woken up next to someone that has not hurt me, that I can remember. I just kept quiet hoping he would not get met and let me pee. “I will let you go. But can you come back when you are done, I want to cuddle some more. Before we have to get ready for my parents.” He told me. And I nodded my head and he let me go, as soon as I was free I fled to the bathroom, and I could hear him laughing at me.

When I was done in the bathroom, I was doubting if I should go straight back to him or brush my teeth first, he did tell me to go back to him. “Why do you not just ask him” Hope told me. “That is a great idea” I told her. So I went and then I saw him sitting up in bed waiting for me, and it made me blush. He signed me to come over to him and I forget al about brushing my teeth and I went over to him.

When I was next to him he just smiled at me and he took my hips and placed me in between his legs and just cuddled me. I really liked the way he was holding on to me, but I was a little ashamed of the same time because I was sitting on his lap. I smiled at him and he hugged me even tighter. And when I looked up he kissed my head, and when he pulled back he kept looking at my lips, this made me nervous so I looked away, but I did stay on his lap.

We stayed there for a while, just sitting, I almost fell back to sleep when he suddenly spoke. “Hey, Anna, we need to get up, my parents are going to be here soon. And I was thinking of making a high tea of our lunch, what do you think about that?” he asked me, I really liked that idea, I had prepared a couple of those, but I had never been to one so I really liked it. “Yes, that sounds really nice.” I told him. But then I shot up, I did not have enough for a high tea, because that would be with sweet and savoury, but I only had sweet. So I shot up and I ran to the closet to grab some clothes and I went into the bathroom and into the shower.

I still did not really like showers so I was quickly done. I got out of the shower and I dried my self and I put on my clothes, brushed my teeth and I put my hair into a ponytail. When I got out of the bathroom I saw Marcus already done, he had showered in another room and he was completely done. He looked at me when he saw me he walked up to me. “Why are you in such a hurry little mate?” he asked me. “Your parents are going to be here soon, and I only have sweets for them, I need some savoury things for them” I told him and I tried to get past him, but he would not move. I looked up to him with pleading eyes and he just smiled back at me. “If you are going back into the kitchen again, you are going to need some shoes.” I looked at him, not really understanding why, I never wore many shoes in my old pack, I did not really need them, and they always got ripped of, so I did not see why I should wear them. But he insisted.

I kept looking at him, just wondering why I needed to wear shoes in the kitchen. Then he picked me up by my waist and he sat me on the bed. “Stay there I am going to get you some shoes, we really need to go shopping to get you some more clothes.” He told me. “What is wrong with the clothes I am wearing now?” I asked him. I was wearing a bleu shirt with jeans and bleu socks, it was simple and comfy. “There is nothing wrong with your clothes, I just want to buy you some clothes that are new, and not hand me downs.” He told me when he came back with a pair of white shoes, they looked like my size, I wanted to take them from his hands but he ignored my hands and he just kneeled down and he started to put them on my feet, they were a little to big, but I did not complain, they were really pretty and I was just to having worse. I did not really understand his need for me to have new things, but if he wanted it, I would not say anything.

When he was done he picked me up by my waist and put me down on the ground so I could walk downstairs on my own. “I have some things I need to do before I join you downstairs, but Liam will keep you company until I am done, is that alright with you?” He asked me. And somehow it made me a little sad, but I also understood. So I nodded my head yes that it was alright. “I want to hear you say it little mate.” He told me, and I blushed. “I-I do not mind, I will see you when your done.” I told him, hoping he would he done soon.

I went downstairs to see Liam standing in the kitchen. “Oh, there you are. Now, you need to eat something first before you go and make some more things.” He said to me smiling, I was not really hungry, but I knew that it would not help to argue with him so I just went with him, and sure enough he had some breakfast ready for me.

We ate our breakfast and I began to prepare the savoury things for the high tea. I had little sandwiches in multiple versions, I had carpaccio, chicken, egg, cheese, tuna, and salmon. I also had little wraps in multiple versions, I had veggie, salmon, and salad. I had also some little quiche in the flavour’s spinach, salmon, cheese, and egg and flammkuchen. And I could not help myself to make a little more than I had intended to make. I made some puffs with cheese, chicken, salmon, and whipped cream. And some little cheese onion breads.

I was making the lemon cured for the scones when Marcus walked in. I looked up at him and I smiled, happy that he was there. Maye he could stop Liam from eating everything. He walked up to me and he looked at everything I made, and he just smiled at me. “Do you think this is enough?” I asked him, because I wanted to make little taco’s and burgers next, and that would be the last thing I would make. “I think you have more than enough and that my family will leave here rolling in stead of walking.” He told me laughing.

“Really? So, I do not have to make the last thing? I have already prepared it and I just have to put it together.” He looked at me with an look in his eyes I did not quite understood, but I shrugged it of. “Wait, in these ninety minutes I finished my paperwork, you made another fridge with food and you say you just have to make one more thing!” he told or asked me I was not sure. “Uhm, y-yes.” I told him. And he just kept looking at me. I was done with the lemon cured and I had everything for the scones ready and I went on with my little taco’s and buns for the burgers, I put them in the oven and went on to the meat.

I was doing the meat when I looked up at Marcus, he was still looking at me, and when I looked at Liam, he just put another puff in his mouth, this began to become really annoying. I sighed and looked back at the meat; it was done so I put the stove out. When I looked back up Liam was gone, this made me frown. “Marcus?” I asked. ”Yes, little mate” he awnserd sitting on the other side of the stove on a chair. “Where did Liam go, he was just there?” I asked. I send him away because he was eating your food and you where getting annoyed by it.” He told me. I did not answer him, and I just went on with my work.

When I was finished with everything I looked up and I saw Marcus staring at me. I looked away and I went looking for stuff to decorate the table with and put al the food on. But I did not know where to find it. “What are you looking for little mate?” Marcus asked me. He was behind me, it scared me a little, but I recovered quick and told him what I was looking for. He just smiled at me and grabbed my hand and lead me threw the hallway to somewhere I have not been yet. He stopped in front of a door. “If you open this door, you will find everything you are looking for.” He told me with a mysterious smile on his face.

I opened the door, and I could not stop looking into the room. It was filled with all the stuff I needed, he was right, this was exactly what I needed to decorate the table. I began to smile really bright at him I was really happy with it. “Thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed.” I told him looking up at him with a smile. He just looked at me and smiled back. “Why do you not tell me what you need so I can get it to the table, and you can decorate it.” He told me. “Do you not want my help wit getting everything there?” I asked him because I would need quite a bit of stuff. He went on front of me and put his arms around my waist, looked me in the eye and told me: “No, I do not need your help, I just need you to tell me what you need. I do not want you to do everything, you have already made the food.” I blushed at him and I decided to not go against him and just tell him what I needed.

Marcus walked up and down to the room, but after thirty minutes everything was set, I just had to put the food on the table. And that is when the doorbell rang. I looked at Marcus and he just smiled at me and offered me his hand which I took. He led me to the front door and he opened it. We were greeted with five smiles. Everyone was there. And I got really nervous and hid behind Marcus. But they just kept smiling at me. Which I did not like and got me more nervous, but I did know that they meant me no harm.

I was stared down by a big man that was 6’7 and a woman that was 5’5 and another woman that was 5’7. I was stared at by silver and bleu eyes that held no disgust or anger, just, I do not know whet there eyes held, but I could tell it was something positive. I knew Emma was his sister and the women that was 5’7 with black hair and bleu eyes, the other women that was 5’5 with blond hair and bleu eyes was his mom, and they just kept looking at me like they wanted to hug me or something I do not know what it was. And his dad, he was just a little smaller than Marcus, but I was happy about that, I could still hide behind Marcus without them seeing me. And then the two identical silver eyes that were staring up at me with curiosity in them. They were identical, both silver eyes and black hair, the girl Lily had long black hair in two adorable braids and the boy Julian had short, spiked black hair with the same silver eyes as his sister.

I kept standing behind Marcus until he stepped away so they could see me, and I immediately looked down, I was to afraid to look them in the eye. But then his mom walked up to me and she hugged me. “I am so happy, that you are finally here, we were s worried that he would not have a mate, but here you are, and look at you. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, more than perfect for my boy.” She told me, and this made me blush and I got even more afraid and doubting myself, was this the right decision? Did I do the right thing by meeting his family? I do not know, but I will make the best of it, and I will hope to not make them or Marcus angry.

When she let go of me I immediately shot back to Marcus his side and I grabbed his arm. This was really new for me and it scared me a bit. “Alright everyone, this is my mate Anna, Anna this is my family, well most of it. Oliver my other brother is not here jet, but you will meet him eventually. Alright this in front of you are the twins Lily and Julian, on the left behind them is my mom Sandra and besides them is my father Alexander. And next to my dad is my sister Emma.” He introduced me to everyone of his family. “I-it is n-nice to m-m-meet al of y-you.” I got out of my throat but, this told Marcus that I was really nervous about something.

“Well, why do we not al go inside, you must be hungry after the trip and my beautiful mate here has made a really big lunch for you, it has actually turned into a high thea with lots of sweets. So lets get you guys in and I will get someone for your luggage.” He told his family, he told them I made them food, what if they do not like it what if they hate it, I really regret cooking right about now. “Do not worry, everyone always loved your food, even Alpha Max could not resist it, no matter how hard he tried, so just relax and go with Marcus and his family and EAT something!” Hope told me, and I could tell she meant it, so I did what I was told.

“Wow” was all that came out of Marcus his family when they saw the table I had set for the high thea. Do they not like it, is there something on there that they hate I wondered, is wow a bad thing? Marcus tightened his grip around my hand to ensure that he was there and that everything was alright. He smiled at me and I smiled back at him. “COOKIES!!!” is al I heard before I saw the twins running to the chairs that were closest to the chocolate chip cookies. This made everyone laugh, including me.

Marcus started to walk towards his seat and he pulled me with him to the seat next to him and he sat me down, meanwhile his family was still smiling at the twins and admiring the table, I found out by Marcus his smile that it was admiring, and not criticising. When they noticed that we were already sitting down they quickly walked towards the table and they walked to the chairs that were closest to the things that they liked. They looked at me and Marcus and this made me nervous, why were they looking at us, did we need to do something, what were they waiting for they can just go ahead and eat. I frowned and looked at Marcus, who was looking at me. “Why do you not tell them what everything is you made, I know you made notes and placed them by the food, but I think you can tell them better than the notes.” He told me, and so I told them what everything was.

When I was done they were just staring at me and I got nervous again and looked at Marcus. He just smiled at me and nodded. “You did a great job explaining everything, the notes could never have done that.” He told me. And it made me blush and look down. “Now what are you waiting for, you know what everything is, and now you are making my mate uncomfortable, go ahead and eat.” Marcus told everyone, and they did not have to be told twice, they attacked the food like animals.

The first thirty minutes no one spoke, everyone just ate, and I was happy with that. But after those thirty minutes of chewing and moaning and complementing me about my food they started to talk wit each other and also asked me questions, simple one like what my favourite thing to eat was, favourite colour, what I liked about Marcus the most (this one made me blush) and what I thought about the New Moon pack so far. I awnserd everything whey asked me, the best I could. When we were done eating a lot of food was still not eaten yet, but I knew that they al liked it and that they were just full.

They came here around 1300 pm and it was now 1600 pm, we were eating and talking for three hours straight! I will let you go to your rooms to freshen up and sleep, and maybe if you are hungry, come down to eat dinner.” He told everyone, and he stood up and everyone followed his example and we all left to freshen up. I was beyond tired and full. When we got to his room I went to the closet and bathroom to wear something more comfortable and when I got out of the bathroom, Marcus was lying on the bed. This made me a little nervous, I knew I was save with him, and I did not want to hurt his feelings so I walked over to the bed and lied down on the other side of the bed and before I knew it my eyes were dropping and I felled Marcus his arm around me. “I love you my little mate, sleep well.” He told me, but before I could answer I was asleep.
