Cassandra headed outside the café about twenty minutes later, only to be met outside by a colleague of hers, waiting for her next to his car…
“Took you a while.” The woman said as she uncrossed her arms and opened the door to the backseat for the other woman.
“Nobody asked you to come here and wait for me.” Cassandra said with a less than welcoming tone as she headed to the front side of the car and opened her own door instead.
“I came here because I was worried about you… You left nearly in tears the other day.” The woman said as she sat inside the car as well, she was in the driver’s seat.
“I wasn’t crying.” Cassandra said as she put on her safety belt.
