Me

Advik Dey: Did she post it? Another 10 minutes of scrolling past her blogs and then... silence. Again the sensation gnawed at me. What if it was a BBC article? I spent another thirty minutes searching for BBC articles under her name. Still, nothing. Fuck! Why was she taking so long? Was she still thinking? Or, was she busty interviewing my mistress? I paced my chambers up and down. Up and down. My polished shoes against the floors that stunk with antiseptic. Suddenly, I felt like Anne Bloyen, the second wife of Henry III. I had been watching that movie for too long I guess. Anne was just like me, asking everyone, “When shall I die?” It was so frustrating. I could feel it in my bones. If I had someone, I would have still asked, 'Why Couldn't she post it right now? When will I be ruined?' Like, seriously, it would feel 10 times less worse now that I was prepared to hear whatever the public will hear about me. About my supposed infidelity. Another check at her i********: stories. Still nothing. Fucking nothing! Just then, the door of my chambers opened and Larisa entered. "Dr.Dey, there is another board meeting." I pocketed my phone amd followed her, regretting each step I took. But I had no way. I had such a bad luck that I couldn’t even watch my own downfall. The board meeting would cease my phone for hours. ******* By the time I was back, the clock struck 2 PM. I took my phone out and was already greeted by notifications. Hundreds of them. My fingers trembled. My eyes burnt. What had the b***h planned for me? I scrolled past the bottom of the 'f**k u's and the usual 'You don't deserve her'. There it was. She posted a picture of me and her from our highschool. Where did she get this picture? I never remembered noticing her beside me. She smiled at the camera, her braces shining in the flash of the camera. In the bottom of the picture, she wrote: I knew, the moment he kept it closed, the visions naked in my eyes, kept composed. Even though it still burns, I had known, The sun still burnt, the world kept moving on. Our world is breaking and I know it's a token, Of the way we have been--me swollen now heartbroken. You eyes are now the shiny starry night, Gazing at the evening star as it shines bright. And I was a dim comet, millions of. years old, Why wouldn’t he leave when he found gold? I would have known in any way, there’s no use choosing different ways. Knowing never hurts but finding always would. She even tagged me. Like a f*****g warning. I just forgot that she had the power to do everything. Literally everything. Without even lifting a finger. I almost collapsed on my desk. Lots if DMs flooded through my phone. Friends, long time acquaintances, relatives I knew. Everyone asked, "Why did u do that?" Maybe I shouldn’t have slapped her last night. She knew. She already knew. She always knew. But she also must know that...that it was wrong. She knew that. I knew that. She dated a guy. A guy I had always wanted to be. She Didn't sleep with him but at least, at least...they kissed. And I chose the different way. My phone screen lit up. Ma I received the call. "Look, ma, it was a--" "Shut up, Advik. Just shut up!" She cut me off. "Listen to me, listen to me very carefully, Advik." I nodded. I always listen to her. And look what listening to her turned my life into. A f*****g hell. "I'm all years. What will I do?" She sighed. "Advik, I know that you don't like her. And I Don't like her too. But you have to act like a loving--" "I Won't do that." "Advik, my son, she is powerful. Really powerful. She is successful and beautiful," "Are you simping for her?" "I'm stating facts. You are the perfect match. You two are popular in our area. No matter what happens, you havve to stay together." "But I don't love her, Ma! I hate her. I f*****g hate her. Why are you ruining my life with...fame..money and popularity? Who cares?" I looked at my phone. She had already cut the call. Oh, how wonderful my life was! Even my own mother sold me to that b***h for...perfection.
