Chapter 10

'Beep, Beep'

'Beep, beep'

"Argh" I rolled over as Josh turned to grab his phone on the nightstand.

"Sorry babe, time to getup and get ready" Turning back towards me and pulling me to him kissing me forehead.

"But it's only 5.30am do we need to get up so early" I tried to cuddle back into him to fall back asleep.

"Nope we need to get up and back to the pack ASAP. I've got rogues to kill" Grinding his teeth and the word rogues.

I totally got were he was coming from we both hated them. It was rogues that killed my parents and his mum. But man it's to early in the morning. He got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. Switched on the shower, i've turned onto my back stretching it out. Growling i got out of bed grabbing a clean towel i headed to the bathroom. Opened the door a little bit to give him the towel.

"Here you go" Josh grabbed my arm pulling me into the bathroom with him. "Wanna shower with me"? He asked with a huge grin on his face. "Maybe next time" taking a step back into the bedroom. "I'll hold you to it" He yelled out as i walked into walk in closet to grab clothes. He is gonna be waiting a while for the to happened.

After he had shower and both were dressed we headed down stairs with my bags. Josh didn't bring anything with him but himself and his car i figure he was in that much of a rush to get here. s**t my car i'll need to drive it back again.

"Hey Josh i've got my own car i'll need to drive back"

"Not a chance, Lucy will drive it home for you" I raised a eyebrow at him like what the heck.

"No i'd be happy to drive it back myself, I agreed to give you another shot doesn't mean you can say who drives my car"

"Paige you will be in my car and that's final... I mean i'd feel better if you were with me and i won't have to worry about you"

I huffed out like a little kid. "Fine" I took my bags right out to his car and chucked them into the boot. Josh followed after me to try and help but i shrugged him off. I wasn't happy about it but i get it. I slammed the boot closed and he locked it. We headed back inside for breakfast before we had to leave.

Antony and Lucy were already awake in the kitchen when we came through. They both had a cup of something hot to waken them up. Ant's head flipped to look at me when he seen i was pissed off.

"What's up sis?"

"Nothing" I grumbled out.

He got up from his chair and came over to me placing a hand on my shoulder as Josh went to re-boil the kettle. "I don't believe it's nothing. What's going on?" Looking between me and Josh. I give Josh a death glare before taking up Ant's chair.

"I'm not allowed to drive me own car back to the pack house" Ant starting laughing. "Is that all?"  

What does he mean is that all 'grr men' i moaned to myself 'Don't beat yourself up Paige he's our mate he is protecting us'

'Yeah yeah i know, i'm being a baby' Well at least someone is happy about riding in the same car as their mate.

"Paige you need to give same leeway. I get your pissed but you guys are mates. Giving Josh a chance to work it out is a huge thing but you gotta let him try as well" He was right maybe i was being hard i mean it was only my car after all.

"Lucy don't hurt my baby now" I loved my car, i'd hate if anything happened to it to me it's irreplaceable.

"I wont i swear. I'll look after her like she was my own red Nissan Navara" She did love her car as well.

"Ok, ok i trust you" Josh placed a hot latte in front of me and i instantly took a sniff of it 'mmm'. I brought the cup to my lips and inhaled the goodness 'Ahhh' I breathed out. "Thank you" as he sits next to me placing his hand on my thigh giving it a squeeze then smiled. Ok that's a new one, think maybe he is starting to relax a bit around me and the grumpy arrogant person i knew has mellowed out a bit.

After breakfast we were getting ready to leave. My Uncle and Aunt came to say goodbye to us. James ran to catch me before we leave giving me a huge hug "Don't you been a strange now, you hear" He says pulling back and i hear i growl behind me. Josh was quick to pull me back from James.

"Take care of her" James nods as Josh narrows his eyes on him.

Josh pulled me towards his car opened the door letting me in. I smiled back to James and waved. Josh jumped in the other side as i got my seat belt on and just like that i was heading home with him. My mate.

After two and half hours driving we finally pulled up in front of the pack house. I could see Abby and a few others staring at us as we pulled up. Think i've got stage fright or something, i swallowed the lump in my throat, as it's sitd uneasy in my stomach.

"Ah Josh...i'm gonna need a minute" I touched his hand while staring right at Abby. She had a smug look on her face.

"Don't you worry about her, she will know her place soon enough" I glance at him and he is smiling at me. I return one of my own.

He gave me a minute to get myself together. Ant and Lucy both parked up next to us and jumped out. Lucy waited infront of the house for me to get how. I knew the guys were gonna be busy for a while. I wasn't ready to be back here but i know i've got to be strong enough to hold my own.

"Ok, let's do this" I say to Josh. He nods getting out his side and running to open the door for me. Everyone's mouth dropped open. Josh gave me his hand and helped me out. We both turned to see Abby and her chum's mouths hitting the floor.

"What the f**k are you all looking at?" Josh roared at them.

Did he just do that? Did he just yell at them all. I mean i've seen him yell at them before but never to defend me. I was taken aback and i think they all s**t themselves. Abby blinked a few times then walked over to us swaying her hips like she had something better than me.

"Babe what are you doing with her?" She detested. Mouth full of venom.

"She is my mate" He spat at her. Then turns giving me a huge grin. Josh pushed past Abby and took us inside. He took me up the stairs to his bedroom. Ah yes i remember this moment i was about to reject him. The image past through me making me stop at the door. Antony and Lucy had grabbed my bags from the car and brought them up stairs.

"Wait am i staying here too?" I thought i'd be going back to mines and Ant's own house not hear in the pack house. Can i really stay here. I mean he slept with her here in this bed and many more.

"Only until our house is finished being built and decorated." He nodded to Ant to placed my bags on the bed. "Lucy can you give us few minutes" She nodded and smiled at me.

"Our house?" I questioned him.

"Of course, i know you wouldn't wanna stay in here with the other pack members plus we need our own privacy to" mmm our own space. Well he isn't half wrong. I do prefer if we had our own space and i'd prefer not to be around that b***h either.

"I hope the sheets are clean" I suggested and horrible image i had.

"It's a whole new bed, I threw the other one out. I wasn't gonna let you share i bed with me while i had that bed still in here. It had bad memories for both of us. Don't worry i thought ahead" He assumed.

I went onto my tip toes and gave him a kiss on the lips. The first time i've ever done that and this time i wasn't dreaming of doing it. I actually did it. He deepen it a bit further sending sparks flying around me. It felt so surreal. I can't describe the feeling. It's like everything falling into place. I could so get use to this. He pulled back giving us a moment to breath then pecked my lips once more.

"You have no idea how long i've waited for that" He lifted me up of my feet swirling me around and gave me another peck. "As much as i'd like to keep kissing you, i've got some rogues to take care off"

I frowned but remember his call from yesterday. "Ok, I understand can i get Lucy back up to help me unpack?"

"Sure give her a shout. If you have any issues link me ok" I nodded. He gave me another peck and left. Lucy came in right after. I heard Josh yell out for Ant Caleb and Jack to get to the office.
