Chapter 6

"Paige, you know who this is, don't play game"

"Who is Paige?" I giggled to myself. Thinking of him reading the messages getting angry.

I was back at the pack house now with James. He seen i was upset before and said maybe i should get my own back wind him up a bit. To be honest i liked this idea. I left James to go do his own think and i wandered off into the forest, not to far though. I climbed a tree looking out over the river. It was such a beautiful view.

"Look Paige don't be a b***h. We need to talk" Yeah right we do..Not!.

"Sorry mate think you have the wrong number. "

"I've not got the wrong number. I'm going to find you and bring you back. There is no hiding". No hiding who's he kidding he has no idea where i am.

"Dude you'd have a hard job of doing that. I'm a 6ft 5ins body builder body man. I lift weights." I was laughing so hard i nearly fell off the branch grabbing on to pull myself up slightly. If i leaned any further back i'd have fallen off for sure.

I must have sat up here for hours as i heard James climbed up the tree next to me.

"Was so funny?" He asked swinging his legs over the branch

"Nothing. I'm still winding him up still. Told him i was a bodybuilder guy but he doesn't believe me i think"

"Here give me you phone" I handed it over to James who hit the call button. I looked at him as my eyes went wide but i knew what he was going to do.

"P...Paige?" I could just hear Josh whisper through the phone. Like he was trying not to shout.

"Dude i've already told you i was a guy clearly you don't believe me" I sat next to James bursting out with laughter. I had to cover my mouth to muffle the laugh.

"Why do you have my mates phone. Where the f**k is she?" His voice got loud, he was getting pissed off again. 

"Dude chill out...Some lass gave me this phone. She bought a new one and she was selling this one. So i bought it off her".

"Grrr where do you stay?" Oh no he was trying to track me down. I looked at James with wide eyes shaking my head thankfully he on.

"I'm from glen coe mate" It's a place not to far from the shadow crest pack house. maybe a hour's drive

"You better not be shitting me or i'll hunt you down and kill you sorry ass"

"Haha aye ok mate. cya" with that James hung up the phone on him.

"Wow i'd love to be a fly on the wall seeing him flip his s**t right now" We both sat there laughing away trying hard not to fall. James put a hand on my back keeping me from going to far back. He was a good friend. Wish he was my mate rather than Josh. At least James made the effort to hang out with me.

"Serves him right for upsetting you. Mates aren't meant to torture each other"

"I know... i know try telling him that" I sighed releasing a breath from laughing to hard.

"Are you ready for some dinner? Think your aunt and uncle are going to set up a bomb fire tonight so the other pack members can come see you too"

"That sounds like fun. Is that why they are carrying so much wood?" I caught a few people bringing wood out the forest. I had wondered what it was for.

JOSH's POV

"I'm gonna kill her, why the f**k did she leave?..Can't she just do as she is f*****g told grr" My wolf Blaze it pissed with me. I still don't understand how she made that f*****g jump either. I've asked her brother but he says he has no idea which doesn't make sense to me they like live together and if he's not hanging out here then he's with her at home or so i thought.

I wonder how long she has planned this. I know this is all my f*****g fault. I have this horrible feeling in my chest and it's been there ever since she left. I can't take this pain. It's distracting me for being a alpha of the pack. I can't focus on anything. I've tore the house apart. I've ran circles around my territory i've spoke to Alpha John on the phone but he says he has no idea where she went only she asked to past through his land. I swear this is bullshit. He knows more. I need to find her.

"Alpha have you tried looking at her gps for her phone? if she hasn't turned it off you can track it" why the f**k didn't i think of this.

"I've not, that's a good idea get on it now Jack" He's is my third in command.

"Yes alpha" He dashed out this room.

'Antony where the f**k are you man?' I linked my best mate. Surely he has some insight to where she may have gone after all it's his sister. I've ask him since she left yesterday morning' Doing a perimeter run with Ash. Do you need me back on the house?"

'Yes, Jack may have found a way to find her' I swear i heard a sigh from him. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I don't really care i need her here now.

'Ok heading back now' I knew he was missing his sister too. He has been out running alot more and hanging around Paige's friend Lucy a lot. I find it strange, like he is avoiding me in a way. I've asked Lucy millions of times since yesterday if she knows where Paige has gone but she swears she has no idea. She has been more quieter last few days. She usually has a lot to say to me. With the way i treated Paige. Who can blame her though. It's my fault not her's. I did this to myself. I'm such a ass. No wonder she has ran away. 

I'm going to find her and bring her back. I'll put this right. I have to find her. 

Paige's POV

"He said what? How did he find out?" I was yelling down the phone to my brother. Josh knows where i am and he's on his way here. f**k. f**k. I started to pace back and forth on the carpet burning a hole beneath me.What do i do now.

"Don't worry Paige i won't let him hurt you" Hurt me what the heck i started to panic "We are about a hour away or so. What ever you don't run from him. I'll try calm him down before we get there"

"Don't run are you kidding me? f**k this" I was about to hang up "Paige please don't do anything stupid i really think you leaving made his see sense" I knew Josh was probably in his own car from the way Antony was speaking, but s**t i need to get out this house.

I have a idea. Scary idea but a idea. Although was probably a lame one.

I pushed open the double doors to my balcony and jumped down below. I sprinted toward the sail boats we had near to the river like lake by us. If they are about a hour away i could get so far out he wouldn't be able to get me.

"Where are you going?" James called me from the shore line.

"He's coming James. My brother just phoned me to say he a hour away. I need to hide." Panic washed over me and i seen James dive into the water towards to boat.

"Here let me" He got in and started paddling faster. There was a little isle out in water. I remembered from last time. Me and Antony swam out here once or twice. There is a house we built out here like a log cabin. We built it out of logs. Uncle Theo helped us build it and i'm sure James did too. It was a spot to remember our parents, just for us. It was taken good care of by my uncle and Aunt.

"I've sent your aunt and uncle message through mind link to say they are coming and to beware. They know we are heading to the isle and will do their best to keep him away.
