Questionable Actions

After Daniel and I had the conversation I was unsure of what to think. Just because she didn't answer a call from me didn't mean that she was doing something wrong. I don't answer her calls all the time. However, not only didn't she answer but she hasn't communicated with me at all, and as far as I know she doesn't have a boyfriend. So there's got to be some of other reason as to why she wouldn't answer, but what is it?

"Hey we're here."

"Okay. Look, Helia's here already."

"Don't dwell to much on that conversation we had earlier, kay?"

"Okay, I won't"

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Yeah, right. As if I'm not gonna have it in the back of my mind forever.

"Okay, see you in there."

"See you."

Daniel drives me crazy sometimes. He's always so protective of me it's insane. Deep down I know that the only reason Daniel doesn't want me to worry about it is because he knows that if something is going on, it's best for me to stay out of it.

"Hey, you're here!"

"Yep!"

Fake a smile

"Well, come on, let's go inside."

"Um there's something I wanna talk about first."

"Huh? What is it?"

Don't say it. Don't say it.

"Why did you set up a meeting with Daniel for me?"

"What?! What are you talking about?"

Idiot!

"You told Daniel I wanted to meet him, and you told me he wanted to meet up. Why?"

"I thought it would be good for you to see him. For comfort."

"I know that's not the reason why."

"Okay, I'll tell you after the trial okay?"

"No! Not okay! Tell me now!"

"I can't! I'd rather show then tell you, and I can't show you until later!"

"Why no-"

Ring... Ring... Ring...

"Hey! Where are you? We're about to start!"

"Kay, Daniel. We'll be right there."

Beep

"I'm not letting you off the hook that easy."

"Come on, let's just go okay?"

"Whatever you got lucky, but we don't talk until after this situation is settled."

"Fine! Now come on, we're gonna be late."

She lied to me, to my face. She's never lied to me before, has she? Of a the years we've been together she's never lied. Not like that. Helia's trust is something to be earned, so have I not earned it? Does she not trust me? There's no way that she doesn't trust me enough to tell me the truth.

"I love you, I really do,.."

Does she really? You don't lie to someone you love. She lied to me even then, and I fell for it. I was dumb enough to think that she actually loved me. Man, I'm such an i***t! Would it have been better if I didn't know. If Daniel hadn't said anything, I never would have doubted her for a second. Would that have been worse? I just wanted to go back to normal and live a happy life, but how can I do that when the person that's supposed to be there for me, the person that's supposed to help me, is lying to me.
