I couldn't bring myself to ask my twin, Tamiko, what had happened or how she ended up at the Young Bucks Society Building. Somehow, just seeing her again and knowing that she was safe was enough for me.
A little while later, the three of us were sitting together, talking. But the moment Tamiko began explaining why she had called us there, I nearly gasped.
“W-What do you mean, Tamiko? I don't understand—”
“Do you really not understand, or are you just refusing to?”
The irritation and disgust in my twin's voice were impossible to miss. I was still too shocked to process what she had said. My mind felt like it had completely shut down.
“Tamiko needs to pretend to be you and become part of the Fortier family, Tam. So instead of you marrying Silas Fortier, she’ll take your place.”
