Episode 3

Drake’s pov I watched as Kael crouched down to the level of that disgusting vermin. I immediately averted my eyes, disgusted by the sight before me. This cannot be possible. I’ll reject her before she can start having any second thoughts. My eyes scanned the crowds of beautiful women, women who I could have for myself right now. But instead I’m forced to run errands like a bloody lap dog. My eyes landed on the fair skinned woman kneeling beside her father. When she looked up our gaze locked and she smiled devilishly at me. I was just about to return the smile and take her for myself when Ryen’s hands stopped me. “Show morals, this isn’t the time to think with your manhood brother.” He frowned. I stared between his face and the hand before me. He knew better and dropped it. How does he expect me to think straight when the mate bond we have been waiting for has finally arrived but it is with this nobody. She’s thin, and can barely stand on her own. She’s so tiny I could break her like twigs. The thought of me having my hands around her neck and strangling her made my pants go tight. Maybe she could be of use after all. Kael finally left her side to stand before us. “She is the one we seek. No pack, rouge family or name. Out of all the packs and territories we have travelled she is the only outcast in the whole of Darkoria.” I am supposed to be happy that our search is finally over but the thought of having someone like her inside the same carriage and space as me made my wolf growl in anger. “Am I the only one being sensible here? Do you all not feel that burning sensation? Can you not see that that thing shares the mate bond with us?” I hissed. Kael growled quietly and my wolf mellowed a bit. “Not here Drake. You will not embarrass us in this lowly territory. It doesn’t matter if there is a bond or not, we deliver her to him and never see her again.” Those words settled a bit of my anger. “Kael is right,” Ryen agreed. “The sooner we deliver her to him the quicker she is out of our sights.” One of the men who kneeled dared to raise his head. He looked more stronger than the rest, so I assumed he was their leader. “My Alphas you still have not told me the reason for your being here.” He grinned and turned to the fair skinned woman. “Or have you come in search of a mate?” “We come running errands for the Lycan king.” Ryen explained. “And what could that be? Moonstones? A maiden?” He asked with a confused look in his eyes. “No.” I said sharply, already getting irritated at the fact that we are spending more time than I expected. “We have come to retrieve the long-lost daughter of the Lucan king.” My gaze finally fell on this Elara and the rest of his pack members followed my gaze. “The nobody?!” The fair skinned woman yelled. Her voice was quite the opposite of her body. It was irritating. If I ripped her tongue out I could manage her like that. But then how would she satisfy me without her tongue? The man finally stood on his feet and I marveled at his stupidity clothed in bravery. “Elara may be worthless but you do not expect me to let you take my most valued slave away. This has to be some kind of mistake, Elara has no home or pack, talkless of a family.” “She is exactly what the Lycan king described.” Kael informed him. “Blue eyes, sliver streak lining her dark hair and a scent that forcefully pulls you in.” He pointed out every single thing that made her stand out and also repulsed me. Blue eyes is abomination. It is rankless. And this thing just happened to be my mate? My wolf chuckled at the irony. A might Alpha like myself, like my brothers, deserve someone that can stand by our side. Someone worthy enough to be called queen. The ape of a leader still pressed forward, shoulders rising like he was going to challenge us. The sight made a vessel pop. “I will not allow you take her from this territory. You will have to go through me first—” I grabbed his grey hair and threw him toward a near by tree. My brothers didn’t dare stop me because they know he had crossed the line. “How dare a lowly commoner like you speak when we speak?” I grabbed his throat and squeezed till I felt his bones crack under the pressure of my fingers. Elara whimpered as she witnessed the sight before her. How can still she pity this man after he had ruined her life? The thought of her being so naive and gullible made me even more excited. It would be a pleasure to break her down piece by piece till every gullible bone in her body breaks. As his eyes began to roll back and he started to go limb from my grasp Kael called from behind me. “We kill no one here tonight Drake.” With that I released my grip and his almost lifeless body fell to the ground. The fair skinned woman ran to his side immediately. “Father…father?” She weeped as she shook him. “Is this the man that leads you?” I questioned the pack. “He is weak! And a weak leader has no right to call anyone worthless.” I tried to grab Elara but she thrashed and screamed under my hold. “Enough…” I said but she didn’t stop. Kael looked at me as if sensing what I was about to do and frowned. I didn’t care. He wasn’t the one forced to hold her disgusting body against his. I striked the back of her neck and she fainted instantly. Finally going silent. “If you kill her, then the lycan king will have our heads.” Ryen narrowed his eyes in warning. I rolled my eyes at how obedient they were. Left for me I’d have delivered her head to him. As we entered the carriage I couldn’t help but stare at her face. She wasn’t particularly ugly, and her scent, despite how dirty she looked, was sweeter than that of honey. She looked succulent and delicious unconscious in my arms. I could fell blood flow underneath my pants. Before I could cut the skin on her cheek with my claw Ryen pulled her from my arms. “You will not ruin this one Drake. She is not a toy but an asset to the Lycan king.” He warned. “We’ll see about that.” I grinned as many images of how I’d ruin her flashed in my mind.
