first encounter pt3

"dont be. we just did what a human do" she replies with holding my mother's joined hands

the family convince mine to sit for a while and serve them tea. my brother sit exactly where dev was sitting earlier. i wonder where he is now. "i am sorry" he apologizes sincerely.

"thats fine, it wasnt your fault, and i am not a kid. it was an accident. and all the fault was of that truck that should not be allowed to go from this road." he squeeze my hand lightly with a smile. which i return before my eyes dart over the door longingly

"he went back to his farm with his father" my brother says and i feel sence of calmness leaving my body

"he seemed like a nice guy" my brother says smirking at me.

"indeed"

"lets go beta its time to go now" my mother says my brother helping me get up.

i bit byes to the mother and anaya. i promise to be back in few days when my leg recovers i mutter to myself

"Lavanya? Lavanya?" my mothers shouts from outside waiting by the car

"Lavanya?" I hear hushed sound from my brother

"Wake up, dummy, we gotta go, who sleeps minutes before a trip?" I wake up looking at him, dumbfounded. Before I know it, he is dragging me to the car.

So, I can't see him anymore? Wow, talk about bad luck. I sit in the car, and we drive off to wherever we were supposed to go. My mother, father, and brother are singing along to their favourite song and I? I close my eyes, hoping to meet Dev once again. But no matter what I do, how many times I try, I never meet him again.
