*Episode 5:The Clock Tower Confrontation* The clock tower loomed in front of them, its dark and foreboding presence seeming to swallow the light around it. Jack and Sarah approached cautiously, their eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. As they reached the entrance, Jack's phone buzzed again. He pulled it out, his eyes scanning the screen. "It's Angela," Jack said, his voice low and even. "She says she's waiting for us inside." Sarah nodded, her hand on the gun at her side. "Let's go then." They entered the clock tower, their eyes adjusting slowly to the dim light. The air was thick with dust and the smell of decay, and Jack could feel the weight of history bearing down on him. As they climbed the stairs, the sound of ticking clocks grew louder, echoing through the tower like a heartbeat. Jack's senses were on high alert, his gun at the ready. They reached the top of the tower, and Angela was waiting for them. She stood in front of the clock face, her eyes gleaming with triumph. "Welcome, Detective," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "I've been expecting you." Jack's eyes narrowed. "Where are the girls?" Angela laughed, the sound sending shivers down Jack's spine. "They're here, Detective. And they're ready to join me." As she spoke, the clock face behind her began to glow, and the sound of ticking grew louder. Jack's eyes widened as he realized that the clock was counting down to something. "What have you done?" Jack asked, his voice tight with anger. Angela's smile grew wider. "I've set the clock to detonate a bomb, Detective. And if you don't leave now, you'll be trapped here with me." Sarah's eyes flashed with determination. "We'll never let that happen." Angela laughed again, the sound echoing through the tower. "We'll see about that." As she spoke, the clock face exploded, and the tower was plunged into chaos. Jack and Sarah were thrown to the ground, and the sound of ticking grew louder, more urgent. Jack scrambled to his feet, his gun at the ready. "We have to get out of here, now!" Sarah nodded, her eyes scanning the shadows. "I think I see a way out." As they ran, the clock tower began to crumble around them, the sound of ticking growing fainter. Jack and Sarah leapt through the doorway, landing hard on the ground outside. As they looked back, the clock tower exploded, sending debris flying everywhere. Jack and Sarah covered their heads, their eyes closed in shock. When they opened their eyes again, Angela was standing in front of them, her eyes blazing with fury. "You'll never stop me," she hissed, her voice venomous. Jack smiled, his gun trained on her. "I think you underestimate us, Angela." As he spoke, Sarah appeared behind Angela, her gun pressed to the back of her head. "It's over, Angela," Sarah said, her voice cold and hard. Angela's eyes widened, and she let out a scream of rage as she realized she had been defeated. The girls, it turned out, were found safe and sound, hidden away in a secret room in the clock tower. They were reunited with their families, and Angela was taken into custody, her plans for world domination foiled once again. As Jack and Sarah walked away from the clock tower, the sun was rising over the city, casting a golden glow over the rooftops. "It's not over yet," Jack said, his eyes scanning the horizon. Sarah nodded, her eyes gleaming with determination. "We'll be ready.
