Chapter 15

Gowri POV.

Gowri: If our talk is over can we go back.

Before he could turn and see the state I turned and walked fastly wiping my tears. We are just strangers living in a single roof. I never thought anything like this will happen. The arrogant person is soft and innocent like child from inside. 

People say true we should not expect anything from anyone. It really hurts very badly, now I came to know how badly. It really hurts deep I can't say but only feel it.

I stood near his bike and stood quietly he to came behind me and started. On the travel everything was silent I maintained my distance from him and thought about my life journey till now.

We reached home I went to the bathroom soon and washed my face with cold water. And came out he was thinking something deeply I took a pillow and went to sleep on the sofa.

Vijay: you can sleep in the bed. I will take the sofa.

Gowri: no it's ok anyway you don't suite to the sofa.

Vijay: the bed is large we both can sleep on the bed.

Without back answering him I went and slept on my right side as I was tired and cried. I slept soon not before I sensed another side dip on the bed.

Soon the morning sunrise it my face. I was fully covered under the blanket. I woke up and summarised my surroundings and once the magalya I wore around my neck showed that I am married now and not in my home any more than thought itself made me sad moreover what all Vijay said was ringing in my hears. I looked for him but he was nowhere

I carried on with my morning chores and wore maroon color saree and went down. All the elder ladies and some relatives were there. By seeing them I took my pallu and kept on my head and went in front of them and took blessings.

We all went home mandir and did pooja but my husband was nowhere to be found and my eyes were busy searching for him. After some rituals, we started preparing breakfast.

Sitara: Gowri you prepare something sweet today ma, as it is your first day in your new home.

Gowri: ok Amma.

I started preparing dry Gulab Jamun, with the care I added sweet and I didn't make it completely dry but some sweet seraph was left. And on above of it, I added coconut powder. It was looking nice to do no about the taste.

All are gathered in the dining area to eat. I was really impressed though they are Soo reach they seat on the ground in Indian style.

I served everyone one and went and stood beside mother in law (mil). After everyone we cleaned and sat down to have. They all blessed me and gave gifts for the recipe I did. I was Soo happy.

But my husband did not say anything or gave nothing.

I went to my home for rituals and Vijay came back in the evening to pick me up.

Today also we didn't exchange any words. I was not interested in communicating with him anymore about what he had done.

Chapter 19.

Author POV.

Days were passing like this it was already one month after their marriage. Gowri was comfortable around her new surroundings. She mingled with everyone. She used to take care of everyone. She also visited her home and took care of her family.

But the sad news she didn't initiate to talk with Vijay though he tried and only got a synonymous answer. He thought she needs some time to adjust to his family members moreover she needs time to digest the truth he told.

They simply acted happy couples in front of the family but the truth is there was nothing between them.

It was fine midnight when Gowri had a bad dream about her family. She woke up instantly and breathing heavily her body was covered with sweat.

Even Vijay woke up due to the disturbance when he saw Gowri state. He passed her water but her hand was shivering to hold the glass.

He came close to her tucked her hairs behind and rubbed her back to smooth and made her calm. He made her drink water. They were too close for their comfort, both were feeling different emotions, feelings, goosebumps and most importantly warmth.

Vijay: it's a bad dream calm down. Everything will fine.

And hugged her tightly to give her comfort and to over come to the shock.

Gowri: No nothing will be fine till I see through my eyes. I want to go to my home.

With that, she broke the hug and wore her slippers and soon took the shawl.

Vijay: it's not a good idea to go out at this time alone wait even I will come.

She nodded her head and waited for him. Both were not realising what they did and how close they were to each other.

Vijay came after 5 minutes. Soon they went on the ride. Vijay was not feeling good to visit his in-law's house at this time. But what to do when his frightened wife sitting behind his back and still shivering and thinking deeply.

They ranged the bell after reaching there. Soon Mahesh opened the door with confusion. But got a shock to see his daughter standing in front with red eyes, nose, and checks.

Within seconds of seeing her papa, Gowri hugged him tightly and started crying badly. All came down due to the sound. Mahesh was totally confused and frightened now seeing her like this and motioned Vijay what happened but only got an answer for don't know.

Mahesh: Shona what happen?? Why are you crying like this??

She kept on crying.

Mahesh took them inside. All were worried about her.

Uma: what happened???

Everyone was there and confused.

After sometime Mahesh pulled Gowri close and wipes her tears and calmed her by giving water.
