CLARISSA’S POV I shuffle the deck in my hands, biting my lower lip as I glare at the cards in front of me. Four rounds. Four losses. Landon sits across from me with that stupid infuriating smirk as he lazily twirls a card between his fingers. "Again?" he asks I groan, dramatically falling back onto the blanket spread over the floor. "You're cheating," I accuse, staring up at the ceiling. Landon chuckles “I’m not cheating, Clarissa. You just suck at this." I prop myself up on my elbows and narrow my eyes at him. "Oh, you think you're funny?" He nods, grinning. "Hilarious, actually." I grab a pillow from beside me and toss it at him, but he catches it effortlessly, still smirking. I hate how easy it is for him, how smooth and unbothered he always looks.
