CLARISSA’S POV Landon. His dark hair is soaked, plastered to his forehead and rain drips from his sharp jaw. His hoodie clings to his broad shoulders, completely drenched. The rain outside slashes down like it’s angry at the world, and yet—he’s standing there, staring at my door like he doesn’t even feel it. I unlock the door quickly, pulling it open. “Landon?” He doesn’t speak. Just steps inside. I close the door behind him. “What the hell? Why are you drenched?” I tease, forcing lightness into my tone. “Let me guess—you were being reckless again, riding your motorcycle in the rain?” I turn to face him, shaking my head, but the words die in my throat when I finally take a good look at him.
