CLARISSA’S POV The morning air is cold. The cold enters my skin as I pull my coat tighter around me. We’re on the town’s ski resort. Here,—families, couples, and groups of friends are here. They are all bundled in thick jackets and scarves. Their laughter and chatter fills the air. I steal a glance at Landon. He’s standing a few feet away with his arms crossed and his expression set in a hard line. His usual arrogant smirk is absent, replaced by something bordering on discomfort.
