Amullette's POV:
As she and Dr. Meadow walked the short distance back to Amullette's room Dr. Meadow beamed praises on her.
“That speech was moving," she said.
“I just spoke what I felt. It's not about me any more. It's about Mikaya and what she needs."
“I'm glad you feel that way," Dr. Meadow said as they reached the door to the holo-tech room. “I need to tell you one more thing, before you go back," the doctor said as she stood still. Amullette stood still next to her, not sure if she liked the tone.
“The Admiral will be promoted after your parole," she said.
“Promoted to what? There is only…" Amullette trailed off as she began to understand. “The Elders are going to appoint him as Sovereign over the colony?"
