I watched as the sedatives drug her back under. I had heard her panic as I left her side for not even thirty seconds. I could not stand her in pain and really could not stand the panic. I feel like she was comfortable at least. I really wonder why some wolves are like this. They behave worse than humans. 

I needed to go. I wanted to be outside where the cool air could comfort me in ways no-one else could. Glancing at the doorway tells me my beta saw that whole episode. He knows what I’m feeling. He gets why I stay. I cross out into the hallway with him. “ What’s happening, Levi?”

 “It’s not good. I got my hands on the police report. She sustained systematic abuse for the time frame of her college career. Some of the scars go back about 2 years. The abuse started while she was living at home. The police were headed that way to have a discussion with her previous alpha. Some of the bones show clear misalignment from within the last year meaning the not speaking command went into place about then. The police cannot press charges on Megan, due to her being a Luna, but the Dean can institute charges on campus because she was abused on campus. I know this is not the answer you are looking for. This is all that can be done.”
