UNEDITED!!!!!
After the lunch with the Anderson’s on Wednesday ended, Cole returned to his house and Brie went to spend the week with her fiancée, according to her she couldn’t stay in the same house with Ariana because her presence annoys her.
The feeling is mutual bishh.
They two of them left the house, leaving Ariana alone with Peter and Carla. The two people she hates the most right now. She’s been eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in her room just so she wouldn’t run into them. If they come knocking on her door she’ll ignore them and if they come into her room and attempts to talk to her she’ll plug in her headphone and play the music at the loudest volume, totally blocking out their voice. Immature. Yes she knows that but it’s the least of tantrum they deserve from her.
Sitting in her room for twelve hours, bored to death with nothing to do, she realized it’s been a while since she’s been to the organization so she decided to go today to see the kids and play with them since it was a Saturday. They branched at a toy store and bought different types of toys and accessories for the kids.
She arrived at the organization playground and watched the kids as they ran around playing, their laughter filling her ears. She smiled widely, seeing them happy made her happy. The fact that she is the reason behind this children’s happiness always makes her happy. She wants them to always be happy. They deserve it.
She was lost in her thoughts as she watched them, unknown to her that tears had started streaming down her face.
“Are you alright miss” Sarah, the secretary for the kids division asked, jolting Ariana back to reality.
“Yeah.. I’m fine Sarah” she sniffed and hurriedly wiped her tears with the back of her hands before flashing Sarah a smile.
One of the kids turned towards their direction and saw Ariana, he shouted, alarming the other kids about Ariana’s presence and they all came running towards her, surrounding her as they engulfed her in a hug. Ariana laughed happily as she squatted down to their level and wrapped her arms around them. Their laughter and hers sounding in perfect harmony.
Ariana loves children and they love her. When she was younger she’ll always volunteer to babysit her neighbors children whenever they want to go out and she’ll play and take care of them all day, she would also play with random kids at the park. She always wished she wasn’t the last child and had younger sibling so she’ll get to take care of them and play with them.
“What took you so long Ariana” one of the children said. “You forgot about us Ariana” another one said. “We’ve missed you so much” another kid said and all of them said their thoughts together.
“I’m so sorry for not coming earlier, I’ve been busy with some adults stuffs. How could I ever forget about my babies huhn” she cooed as she hugged them. “I missed you all so much too. I promise to come see you everyday okay” she said as she stood up. “C’mon let’s go inside. I bought y’all some new toys, let’s go check them out.” She said to them and they scurried inside in excitement and Ariana and Sarah watched them with huge smiles on their faces.
“Oh Miss you have no idea how grateful we are for everything you do. Those children wouldn’t be happy if it weren’t for you” Sarah said and Ariana pulled her in for a hug.
“Everything I do wouldn’t be possible without you and everyone. And besides, I just want them to be happy. They deserve to be” She pulled away and smiled at Sarah. “Thanks a lot Miss Ariana” Sarah said and Ariana gave her hand a light squeeze. “Come on, let’s go inside. I got y’all somethings too” Ariana said and the both of them went inside.
Ariana watched them as they picked the toy of their choice and played with it before running down to meet Ariana and dragged her to the playground with them. She played football with the boys for a while then played different types of princess games with the girls and then she played Red light, Green light with all of them. The hours she spent with the kids were golden and it made her forget about her problems.
They played some more before Ariana left them to catch her breath. She went inside and sat on the reception chair with Sarah beside her.
“Where’s Amanda? I haven’t seen her since I arrived” Ariana asked.
“She’s in the classroom. She’s been less chatty with the others lately. I’ve tried talking to her but she doesn’t reply.” Sarah answered, her voice laced with a little concern.
“What!” She exclaimed. “Take me to her pls.” She stood up and followed Sarah to where Amanda was.
They got to the classroom and Ariana saw Amanda sitting in one corner, drawing in a book. “Amanda” she called out and the nine year old rose her head up then rose to her feet and came running to her with a big smile on her face. She jumped into Ariana’s arm and Ariana carried her up spinning her in the air, their laughter filling the room.
“I missed you so much Ariana” Amanda cried into Ariana’s neck as she hugged her tighter. “I missed you too princess” Ariana replied as she wiped Amanda’s tears with her hands.
Ariana has a special space in her heart for Amanda. Yes, she love all the kids equally but her love for Amanda is different. She loves her like a daughter Six months ago, when Ariana had brought Amanda into the organization, she was in an agitated state. She couldn’t speak or eat and would always flinch in fear whenever someone tries to touch her. She was traumatized, after what her step-father had done to her it’ll be normal for her to be.
“I bought you something Princess” Ariana said as she brought out a complete set of drawing and coloring pencils then handed it over to Amanda. “I hope you like it”. Amanda smiled as she wrapped her hands around Ariana, hugging her. “I love it. Thank you so much Ariana” she said.
After playing with Amanda for a while she stood up and announced her leave and Amanda held on to her hands tightly as she cried. “Don’t leave me Ariana. Take me with you” she pleaded.
“My love” Ariana said, raising the little girl to sit on her laps “I wish I could take you with me but I can’t.”
“Why can’t you?” Amanda asked.
“Adult stuffs princess. But I promise to come see you every single day and bring you lots of gifts.” Ariana said and Amanda stretched out her pinky.
“Promise” Ariana smiled as she interlocked their pinkies together “Promise” she answered and Amanda smiled.
“Come on, let’s go play with them outside.” She had Amanda’s hands and they left for the play ground with Sarah following behind. Amanda immediately ran to meet the rest of the kids on the playground and they all played together.
“You really do have your way with kids Miss Ariana” Sarah said. “I’ve been trying to get her to talk and play with the rest for weeks but couldn’t and then you just did it, without even stressing”
“I guess she must’ve missed me too much.” Ariana smiled “Take care of her for me pls, all of them. And let me know if they need anything.” She said. “Sure Miss” Sarah replied.
“Aren’t you going to be seeing the girls today.” Sarah asked.
“No, another day. I need to go to the mall. Just tell them I’ll come see them soon okay” She answered.
“Kids I’m leaving” she yelled, alarming the kids and they all came running towards her “When would we get to see you again” one or the kids asked. “I’ll be here tomorrow. I promise” she answered. Giving them one last hug she left and her driver drove them to the mall to buy the gown she’ll be wearing to the dinner at the Anderson’s tomorrow.
The time she had spent with the kids took her mind off everything going on in her life but now that she’s away from them and back to her reality, her sad reality, she had better prepare herself for tomorrow’s dinner.
