Ava stepped off the train and onto the platform, taking a deep breath of the salty air that filled her lungs. The sound of seagulls crying overhead and the gentle rustle of the beach grass in the breeze were a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of city life. She had left it all behind, seeking a fresh start in the charming coastal town of Tidal Cove. As she made her way through the small station, Ava's eyes wandered over the quaint shops and cafes that lined the streets. The town seemed to be bathed in a warm, golden light, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and possibility. This was her chance to start anew, to leave her past mistakes behind and forge a new path. Ava had always been drawn to the ocean, finding solace in its rhythms and power. Growing up, she spent countless hours exploring the beaches and coves near her home, collecting seashells and watching the waves. When she needed to escape the stress and heartache of her past, she turned to the sea once more. She had chosen Tidal Cove specifically for its small-town charm and proximity to the ocean. The town's laid-back atmosphere and stunning natural beauty seemed like the perfect antidote to the chaos she had left behind. As she walked through the streets, Ava felt a sense of peace settle over her, like a soft blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Ava's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone buzzing in her pocket. She pulled it out to see a text from her best friend, Rachel. "Hey, girl! Just checking in to see how the move is going. Can't wait to hear all about it when you're settled in!" Ava smiled, feeling a pang of gratitude towards Rachel. Despite the distance, her friend had been a rock for her during the transition. She quickly typed out a response, updating Rachel on her progress and promising to catch up soon. As she continued her walk, Ava noticed a small café tucked away on a side street. The sign above the door read "The Cozy Cup," and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted out into the air. Her stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Ava pushed open the door and stepped inside, feeling the warmth and welcoming atmosphere envelop her. The café was bustling with activity, the sounds of chatter and clinking cups filling the air. Ava took a seat at the bar and perused the menu, her eyes widening at the variety of options. She ordered a latte and a pastry, then turned to take in the sights and sounds of the café. That's when she saw him – a guy with piercing blue eyes and a charming smile, sitting at a table by the window. He caught her eye and smiled, and Ava felt a flutter in her chest. Who was this guy, and what was he doing in Tidal Cove? As she sipped her latte and nibbled on her pastry, Ava couldn't help but steal glances at the mysterious stranger. Little did she know, their lives were about to become intertwined in ways she never could have imagined.
