Chapter 14 Finale

I walked up to Lockwood's house, feeling power ripple through me. "Death must really want his soul if he's giving you some of his powers to kill him." Snow's voice sounded in my head. I was already getting used to her voice being in my head, but not having her beside me to cuddle was going to take some time to get used to.  "Yes, he does."  I stopped and turned to the others. "Don't be afraid." Was all I said to them and turned back to the stairs. "Ready, Snow? I'm going to need your body for this."  "Ready. My body is your body." I stepped inside and closed my eyes, pulling Snow's body to replace my own. "Penny?" I looked up to see Hunter in Demon's body flying above me. "That's not Snowflakes color." "Nope. This is lent power from Death." "Now get me that soul, my pure hearted Queen." Death's voice rand in my ears. I narrowed my eyes and took off down the hall with Wolf, Hunter and Dad at my flank.  In no time at all, we found Lockwood. He was just sitting there. Like he knew we were coming for him. "Welcome. The impurities have gathered to try and kill a pure." He laughed. His laughter made my blood boil. I growled, showing a very sharp set of K9 teeth. "Oh lookie lookie! Pretty while doggy teeth! I think I'll add them to my collection!" Lockwood yelled. I began to laugh. I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I felt Death's power chewing at my mind, attempting to bring me to insanity. "Death warned us of this. We can't let it control us. We need to kill him, fast." Snow urged me forward. "I agree." I growled and leapt forward, fire igniting over my body. "Come, let's get this over with." I growled again. Lockwood began to laugh once again. Madness had taken over his mind years ago. There was no saving him now.  I saw Dad get behind him and leap, but he wasn't fast enough. Lockwood dashed to the side. I leapt at him with astonishing speed, but I missed too. Though I did smell burning cloth and hair. "You can't catch someone with the speed of 15 different animals with the strength of 15 men!" Lockwood laughed. He made me even angrier.  "Come on Pen! Kill him! We must protect our people!" Snow yelled inside my head. I closed my eyes and closed everything else out as well. I could only hear the beat of two hearts as one. When i opened my eyes again, Lockwood was in the air with a sword in his hands. I could feel the fear and panic around me, but I had none. I leapt into the air, black leathery wings stretched out from my back, taking me into flight. I aimed myself at Lockwood and flew right to him. I got close enough to see my reflection in his eyes. Pitch black fur, leathery black wings, long fangs, sharp claws and blood red eyes. I didn't like how I looked, but it worked. I angled myself just right and sliced his arm clean off at the elbow with my wing. He screamed in pain and dropped to the ground. Dad, Wolf and Hunter dove on him, making sure he couldn't get away.  "Wait my pure Queen, I want to see this with my own eyes." Death appeared from my shadow. I took that as my cue and dove down on Lockwood, ripping his throat out. Death watched with a gleam in his eye as Lockwood choked on his own blood until he stopped breathing all together. "Th-- Congratulations. You've all done it. You may choose one wish for yourselves." Death said as you collected a black ball that was hovering over Lockwood's dead body. "I wish for my sister Emily back the way she was before Lockwood killed her." Wolf was the first one to make a wish.  "I wish for Emily's partner Starlight back. The way she was before she was killed." Hunter wished second.  "Done. She is in her room. Both of them." He paused and turned to my Dad. "As for you?"  Dad looked away and down at the floor. "No point in wishing. You couldn't give me what I wanted anyways." Dad looked so sad that it hurt my heart.  "You'd be surprised what I can do, Hank."  "I want my son. I want him back so he could have a full life, raised the way I would have done it if he lived." "Done." He pointed at a table. Dad took off to it and I saw the bright smile on his face. My brother was back now. He was going to have his hands full. Just the sight was enough to make my heart stop hurting. Death turned to me next. "And you?" He asked.  I smiled at him. "I have no wish right now."  "Alright. Now for the second thing I asked in return for your wishes. I want Penelope to give birth to my child."  "Deal." I said before anyone else could speak. "No!" Dad yelled.  I gave them that wolfish smile Snow always gave me. "You guys, it's not so bad. I'll be back before you know it. So no worrying about me."  "But--" Wolf started, but I held my paw up to him to stop him. "No butts. Butts are for sitting on."  "Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Hunter asked me. "Yes, I'm sure." My tail wagged in happiness.  "Are you ready to go than Penelope?" Death asked and I nodded. "I am." Death put his hand on the back of my neck and as we both disappeared, I called out; "I will see you all in the near future!"
