In His Head (Michael’s POV)

MATEEEEEEE! Jasper screams in my head. I have to pull away from this kiss for a minute to catch my breath. We can hear her heart racing in her chest. Her desire is casting her scent in the air. Deep breaths. God, her smell is enticing, and she probably tastes just as sweet. Staring into her eyes, I can tell she is special. I just really don’t know how. Kiss her dumbass. She’s waiting for you! Kiss our mate!! Leaning back in, I feel the sparks the moment our lips collide again. Mate. She is our mate and we will protect her.

I pull away again, knowing if I don’t stop this soon I’ll be trying to put my pups inside her. I don’t even know what is special about her yet nor if she could carry our pups. Grabbing her hand, I lead her back to her apartment and give her a quick kiss goodnight, tell her I’ll see her again soon, and wait for her to lock the door behind her. I press my back against the wall across from her door and take a couple deep breaths. I found my mate. I never thought I’d find her. How do I tell my parents my mate is human? Oh my god, they are going to freak out. God, at this rate I’ll be banished from my own pack.

Getting back in the car, I head back to my spot to clear my head. I can feel Jasper ready to break the surface again and I can’t have that happen while driving. Reaching the clearing, it takes every ounce of control I have to keep Jasper in the back of my head. Whoever thought sharing a head with a wolf was fun thought very wrong. I head to the rock and strip down, setting my clothes aside. Soon I settle into the back of my own head while Jasper takes control. Shifting down to four paws, I feel Jasper wanting to talk to me, I pull forward just enough to let him keep control.

We found our mate Michael. What do we do since she’s human? I can tell Jasper is scared and excited.

I don’t know. I don’t even know how she’ll react when she finds out what I, I mean we are. She’s special, you can tell from her eyes. They’re like ours.

What if we turn her? With the alpha blood in us we can do that can’t we?

Jasper, what if she’s one of us already? For all we know her wolf was never awakened. She’s probably never even heard of shifters.

You’re right. I hate when you’re right. I just want to be with our mate. I bet her wolf if she has one, is as beautiful as she is. I’m gonna hunt you can either stay up or go back. It’s your choice, but if I know you like I think I do, you’ll want to think about the next plan of action. Which probably should be figuring out how to tell her about shifters.

Letting Jasper have his time to get out all of his excitement for the night, I shift to the back of his head and try to figure out what I’m gonna do next. There are a few facts that I know for sure, she has eyes that glow like mine, and her scent is definitely not human. But what is she?

I’m done now, we can shift back. I’m tired.

Shifting back and forth has always been easy to me with being the son of an alpha. So we shift back in seconds and I put my clothes back on. Heading to the packlands, I try to figure out how to tell my parents that I found my mate. It isn’t going to be easy but I probably should get it out of the way. Maybe. Turning the radio up, and gaining speed, I toss my worries out the window and decide I’m just going te bed when I get home. Thinking about Skyler is only going to make me want to turn around and go back to her. Who knows if I’d be able to control myself if I did that. Jasper would be even harder to control. He’d mark her right away. I do need to see her again, but not tonight. I can’t risk hurting her. I set the cruise control and pull out my phone, and start typing. I reread what I wanted to say to her and decide I’ll just text her tomorrow. Let her sleep, god only knows she’ll need it before we mark her and make her ours completely. I wonder what she would look like with the Luna crown and the pack tattoo. Shaking my head, I relinquish control to Jasper and let him get us home.
